I keep hearing Simpson has a slight build and is too small. Given how he compares in the pic, I guess Stamford is also too small. Right?
Their eye levels look almost the same and Ty has bigger arms than our MVP.
Don't think size will be much of a issue with our new QB. At least he does not have the small girl hands of Purdy. Goff's hands were not all that big and he did cough it up from time to time as a Ram. I think hand size is important for NFL QBs.
I have a actual 92 LA Rams practice football and its pretty big. Hell, as teenagers we always had the most fun with the junior size football in our after school tackle games. You could chuck those things deep.
Note, the last tackle football I played I was 19. And my QB hung me out to dry on a pass out of the backfield. This muscle bound dude planted me like a tent peg. The first thing that hit the ground was back back of my neck. I could hear him breathing as he was running to destroy me. It was kind of like Forrest Whitaker's character in Fast Times at Ridgemont High type deal. I could barely walk at work the next day. Done with that shit. Sold my dirt bike shortly after that too.
Good times.

Since we have KKingsbury do you think he can work the same magic he did with Mahomes and work him to get familiar with a lot of under Center? Mahomes came into the NFL the way he did because of Kingsbury. Let that sink in a bit.
I think the actual coaching hierarchy of the offense is McVay, Stafford, Scheelhaase, Kingsbury. KK will move up to #3 when Scheelhaase gets a HC gig for 2027.

BTW there have been a couple QB’s like Mayfield, Wentz, Wolford
Wentz?

Carson Wentz is the same size as Josh Allen ... he's big

EDIT:
I thought you were referencing smaller QBs but now I realize, you were referring to Rams' back-ups

My Bad, and I apologize. I usually speak your language better than that. Have a lovely day, my friend

Obviously, Simpson is wearing Lifts in his cleats.

... surprised you missed that

There were some throws in there that surprised me. The kid has a bigger arm than he gets credit for IMO.
Yeah, I don't get the weak arm talk or mediocre arm talk. You see throws where he doesn't have a great platform due to a rush, and he flicks it out there 40 yrds easily. Or a bomb where he puts it 55-60 yards in the air.

Does he have Allen's or Stafford's arm? No, but few do. I think he has a bigger arm than Hurts and Purdy, and in the same ball park of other top passers.

KK has never run an under center offense at any level before, count me skeptical he'll be our OC next year.

It could happen but eeeeeeeh.

Where’s Dave Ragone? I actually think he might get the OC job if Nate bolts next year.
KK seems to be side consultant type gig imo.

Correct after Nate Scheelhaase becomes the next Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2027, Dave Ragone will become the next Offensive Coordinator, but I believe he will retain the title of QB Coach too.

I kind of agree here.

Feels like the Kingsbury hire was one friend (McVay) throwing a Life-Line to another friend (Kingsbury).

Kingsbury was let go by Texas Tech, and then got the Arizona Cardinals job. He was fired from that job; and, one year later got the Washington OC job. After a hugely successful 2024, things quickly went bad in 2025; and there was the old "mutual agreement to part ways".

There were ten head coaching positions open this off-season. I don't believe Kingsbury was a finalist for any of them. I thought McVay did him a solid; and it's a good ... high profile ... gig that could give Kingsbury a better opportunity in 2027.

Don't miss-understand me.
I also think McVay genuinely respects Kingsbury's talents, and believes he can be an asset to the coaching staff in 2026.

That’s because he lives in the intermediate area, which is where NFL offenses operate. We’re so accustomed to seeing college QBs living and dying by the deep ball that when we see someone mostly throwing intermediates, we assume he doesn’t have an arm.
