Talib's mindset is based upon past Alabama teams.

Last year's Alabama team went 11-4 (winning a playoff game) with the 128th ranked rushing attack, 110th ranked OLine, and receiving targets that almost led the nation in dropped passes. Could Burrow do better with that unit? It's possible.

But, my guess is that Simpson would do better too if by some time travel he could have switched places with Burrow and had Clyde Edwards Helaire running for 6.6 ypc while throwing to Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, and Randy Moss's son Thaddeus at TE.

Well said. Unlike almost everything in Aqibs analysis. Can someone tell who the other a hole is?

Or a GM. He has the ability to think big picture.
Not a bad gig if you can get it. Play 8 to 10 years (or more, though I doubt the really smart ones play that long :wow2: ), get a job in the front office. Eventually become a GM. Not a bad paycheck over the course of 20-25 years.

Weddle.... A stud player who gets right to the point. No hedging. These are the facts......

When smart people say smart things about the Rams, all you need to do is smile.
The best part was he was being humble when he stated the Rams are one of the top 5 organizations in the NFL. This organization is leaving a lasting impression on past players, getting the best out of current players and a place of destination for future players.

I keep hearing Simpson has a slight build and is too small. Given how he compares in the pic, I guess Stamford is also too small. Right?
He's an inch to two inches shorter but in college he's the same weight as Stafford was. So we hope he can put on a bit more weight like Stafford and many many QB's and players do once they get to the League.

Stafford came into the league a tiny bit chubby but has since lost weight to extend his career and now probably weighs a bit less than Simpson coming into the league

The weight/frame stuff doesn't really apply to Stafford because he's shown an ability to play through injuries. He's so damn tough mentally.

Simpson we'll see. He got beat up in that one season and it may have affected his play, but since he comes with such a small sample size there's really no telling whether he'll prove to be fragile or more like Stafford in being able to avoid major injuries and play through everything else.

Basically all that type of stuff is what we use to try to evaluate these QBs coming out before they're taken. But of course the Rams took him. So from this point forward it's just crossing our fingers and hoping we hit big.

Well what do you think Arch Manning was going to bring be sides perigee & size ? The Rams did get the QB who started in front of him who is raw as well.
Ty Simpson might have actually been the better NFL type QB compared to McCloy from the Hags(bama). He just wasn’t as athletic, but there haven’t been many QB’s coming out that were ?
At least he has time & maybe the system is what makes the BIGGER difference. We have seen he makes all the throws, goes through progression well, and has speed WE haven’t seen as RAMS FANS maybe Ever ??

Since we have KKingsbury do you think he can work the same magic he did with Mahomes and work him to get familiar with a lot of under Center? Mahomes came into the NFL the way he did because of Kingsbury. Let that sink in a bit.

IMO he will help in a lot of ways. The question is going to be how long he will stay with The Rams ?? Didn’t he also coach Johnny Football?
Simpson has a lot of structure from the Offense they were running in Bama.

You mean the guy who runs almost all of his offense through shotgun and pistol??

Love having Kingsbury onboard (really think he can add something the the tempo and 2 minute offense) but under center work isn't gonna be anywhere close to his specialty.

In fact, I think KK will take way more from the Rams then the Rams will from him. He's finally gonna get a chance to cut his teeth on an under center offense for the first time in his life. I believe with the Commodes and ARI he ran the fewest under center snaps in the league.

I think he'll bring multiple seasons of being a starter, for one. He will also bring an ideal QB frame (6'4" with an athletic build), which along with pedigree matters to NFL teams. I guarantee it matters to the Rams, though they don't have a snowball's chance in hell of drafting him unless he plays like dogshit over the rest of his collegiate career, because of that size and pedigree.

Manning is also quite athletic unlike his forebearers.
