And there hasn't been a quasi political post for over two hours now. I think it had already stopped.

Geez, we using Fauci to distract from Ty Simpson now? I thought it was just to distract from the Epstein files and a pointless 6 month war used to enrich billionaires doing insider trading. Crazy time to be alive.

I refuse to be distracted!!! I fully expect him to be playing in preseason and I'm going to love watching him!!!!

Stop with this shit. I don't give two shits what political affiliation you follow, or what anyone said to each other or not: politics and personal attacks don't belong here, have never belonged here, and are against every rule here, period.

ENOUGH.

Ok. Everyone get off the political train. Another post leaning political will likely find you banned from this thread. Carry it to another thread and you might find yourself unable to post in any of them. Clear enough?

To get back on the Ty Simpson train, what I've seen from our limited exposure is a player going through his progressions and making strong throws. The speed that he's doing it and his happy feet all need fixed but that will come with experience and knowledge. You can see a strong base of skills though. Hopefully he gets some quality time during preseason.

Let’s use Drake Maye as an example. He started early in his rookie season and showed a lot of fight and some real talent. I got to see him live against the Rams and was impressed by him especially as a rookie. His second season, he started every game and had very good stats. What really impressed was his ability to run and his patience in finding targets. However, even though he made it to the Super Bowl, it was clear he was not enough to carry a team. I think he’ll continue to improve and maybe by year 4 or 5 carry his offense.
My point is even a very good QB given early opportunity is likely to take a while to get to a point where they can carry a team all the way through the playoffs. My hope is that’s the path that Simpson is on.
