Its cool. We all know you're still a little shaken by your pre-draft and post-draft take on Simpson.

Its OKAY to be wrong sometimes, pal.....

If you have to make up LIES about how Les Snead and Sean McVay feel if young Ty Simpson doesn't ascend to QB2 his Rookie season, that pretty much says it all.

Psst, most here see it.....
Do you realize how irritating this is to read?

I’m ok with you taking a hard stand for someone you feel strongly about but quit being so damn snarky. It really doesn’t lend to good conversation.

Oh ok, I see change the direction of the conversation by including other QBs, got you..... huge difference when you start comparing him to actual NFL QBs that both have shown it on the field vs Simpson who hasn't barely practiced. I stand by saying if you paired Daniels and McVay, he'd be way better than Simpson as Daniels did this with a much less impressive offensive coordinator and defensive minded head coach. Funny thing is we now have that coordinator in Kingsbury on the Rams coaching staff so go figure. Now to Caleb and Maye, I always personally viewed both as extremely top tier QBs coming out and rated higher than Daniels so probably not the argument to make with me if you don't know my opinion about them. I view Daniels as a step below them arm talent wise but to almost have a 70% completion rate as a rookie is damn impressive and something every team would salivate to work with. None of Daniels talent will matter if he doesn't get protection and doesn't learn to take unnecessary hits. This is literally the same conversation being had about Dart who is much bigger than Daniels so there's that too.
Part of my criticism ABOUT Daniels is that he takes STUPID, UNNECESSARY hits. Thats why I dont think he's gonna last. I still question if Dart is gonna last, that hit he took against New England was one of the DUMBEST things I've ever seen a Quarterback do on a Football field, just behind Heath Shuler's head-butt of the cement barrier. Time will tell on Daniels, Dart, Simpson, everyone.

So shouldn't we have said the same on Puka? He gets nicked up so its a wrap right? Daniels dislocated his non throwing elbow landing funny to brace for a sack. Re-aggravated it because his dumb ass coach brought him back too early. No big injuries to stop him from bouncing back but stay making shit up about injury prone. You're very good at this and prove it time and time again. At least you are consistent though so kudos.
Let Daniels prove me wrong. Play 16-17 games, throw 4,000 yards, have some rushing numbers, and possible Playoffs, though he doesn't need that cause there are too many factors. Ill definitely state I was wrong about him.

That criticism I understand but I think it's way too early on both QBs. Maybe getting hurt the way he did and it not being a crucial injury will wake Daniels up about better protecting himself. I got to imagine that's been beat into his head during the off season. He also can bulk up but we'll see if any of that comes to fruition. I'm willing to bet he will bounce back, the kid has talent for sure.

No doubt, the talent is there. He's got to make some changes and adjustments, as slight as he is he CANNOT take hits. Josh can play stupid sometimes at 6'5" 240. Caleb can too, tree-trunk legs and heavy in the ass. Daniels is a Goff-like toothpick. Lets see....

Point taken. I'll put away the snark, no matter how hard it is.....:hot::hot::hot:

I'm not ready to say that.

Not sure Young is a total miss yet either
Yes both of my determinations are totally in question. Trying to project down the road. Don't like the way Stroud is trending at all. Young is actually trending upwards, but in the end I fear he's just too small.

Perhaps we should just compare Daniels college production to Simpson's as that might be a better metric on who's better if people are hell bent on disqualifying Daniel's production in the NFL.

No, we project Pro's in here, not the minor Leagues. For example:

Tim Tebow- Excellent College Quarterback, Horrible Pro Quarterback.

Tom Brady- Mid College Quarterback, Excellent Pro Quarterback.

Maybe Daniels style just more suited to College?

Simpson, with the benefit of betrer teammates and better Coaching will prove to be a better Ram than he was a Crimson Tide, IMHO.

If that doesn't happen they might have even mended fences that offseason for lack of a better option.
Hell no. Zero chance of that shit happening. McVay started Wolford over Goff in a playoff game.

Sure seems like Stroud and Young are gonna be guys who can be good but only if they have a B+ or higher supporting cast.

Stroud has been hamstrung by a terrible oline the entire time he's been at Houston. Helped his first year by the Shannahan system but the playcaller had no creativity to iterate on it and was stale by his second year with even worse line performance.

Young is small with a small arm. Seems like he can read the field well, good accuracy but will need help at receiver and oline to shine.

I thought Stroud was REALLY good after 2 years. Had him bordering Top 10. Took a step back to me this year. Lets see how it goes Year 4. Texans arent even sure they want to EXTEND him, as are Panthers with Young. Sometimes its better to wait. Bet Miami (Tua) and Arizona (Kyler) wish they did.

I don't understand how ANYBODY can say Simpson will do good, or bad, once he becomes a starting NFL QB. I don't see how anybody can say with a fair amount of certainty, he won't be as good or will be better than insert name here. We just don't know.

As far as anybody else drafted from 2015 through 2025, there are starters and there are failures. In the last 11 drafts, I would say there are 11 guys who look good. Some better than others. Goff, Mahomes, Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence, Caleb, Daniels, Maye and Nix. But remember Carson Wentz looked like the shit his first two years.....some said he would have won MVP if the Rams didn't break his leg......and then the bottom fell out. Watson was the shit for a few years. Murray was going to be a stud. Tua. Richardson. Etc.

They say you can't grade a draft for 3 or 4 years and I agree with that for the most part. There are exceptions. And then there are the guys who develop later than most. Darnold looked like shit for 6 years, went to the Vikings and looked great. Then won a Super Bowl last year. Mayfield was run out of Cleveland and Carolina. Now the Bucs would be dumb not to pay him. Lawrence didn't look great for a number of years. Liam Coen had him playing like a 13-4 QB last year!!!

We just don't know.

Is Daniels going to be a stud? He looked good as a rookie but so did Wentz. And Watson. Will Daniels develop further? Will Nix? Penix?

I can't be sure about any of them. Is Ty Simpson going to be great? Going to be a bum? We just don't know.

Sure. But Wolford got injured early and Goff came in with his injured finger or thumb (I forgot) and they won the game.

I don't know but methinks cooler minds could have prevailed minus the Stafford option. And if McVay needs elite QB play I don't recall who else may have been available that off season.

Thankfully the Stafford option prevailed and Goff was sent packing, with no disrespect to Goff.
