The organization is already under scrutiny, and putting the Raiders and 49ers in the same division is only going to cause problems.

since i am a broncos fan and rams fan, would kinda of suck to be honest.

of all the days to suck at geography

Raiders to the NFC W
Rams to the NFCE
Dallas to the AFC W

This way all the Rams away games are within a 6 hour drive for me :);)

In a perfect football world the NFC West would have the Rams back in LA, Riders, Whiners, and Chargers.

But for now this makes he most sense of grouping the teams which are closest to each other.

NFC West: Seattle, San Diego, Oakland, Santa Clara
NFC North: Chicago, Green Bay, Minn, Detroit.
NFC East: Indy, Cinn, Clev, Pitts.
NFC South: St Louis, Tenn, New Orleans, Kansas City

AFC West: Arizona, Dallas, Houston, Denver.
AFC North: Buffalo, NY Giants, New England, NY Jets
AFC South: Miami, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Atlanta
NFC East: Phil, Carolina, Washington, Baltimore

I agree. If the NFL were to re-orient the divisions it would be based upon market response to the matchups, and not geographic proximity.

I think there was a graphic somewhere that showed what the divisions would look like if they were set up by actual location. And us being in Denver's and KCs division made the most sense geographically(I might be using that word wrong lol)

Um, no. The NFCE has more history than the the NFCW.

UGH Horrible Idea. It's like changing from one political party to the next. Is nothing sacred in todays NFL? Terrible

Seattle was in the Old AFL, so put them in the AFC! Their is too much History of the 49ers & Rams in the same Div. To change that IMO!!

Seattle was not in the old AFL, especially if you're talking pre-merger?

OK, maybe they weren't, I don't recall exactly, I just know they were not in the NFCW originally, which is really the point! Do you remember what div. they were in!?

Do you mean longer or more successful history? Both conferences AFC from American Football league and NFC from the National football league began in 1970 with the NFC West Dominating and Having a team in 7-10 NFC title Games through the first 10 years 1980.
I left a link brother, Don't belittle our Division It has always represented and remains tough. East has 10 Bowl wins and West has 6

Sure, AFC West, but it wasn't the AFL. All good man... They came in as an expansion team in the 70's. Not sure which year. Too many dead brain cells.
