I’d take Darian Mensah, I’ve heard he’s very bright.
I mean, guys can make huge leaps in a year in college or they may plateau or regress.

Half they fun will be keeping any eye on this class going forward. No guarantee any of these guys will take another step but the odds look good so far.

I have always wanted a Manning, but I will settle for a Sellers. BTW, my accountant's name is Eli Holstein.
Never heard of Holstein. Just pulled up his highlights. He looks the part. Big kid, nice touch. However, he was a true freshmen last year. Lost his first 3 starts then won out. Not even sure he is eligible as a true soph. Not sure of the eligibility rules anymore.

This a preliminary list from GBN.

I question if Manning comes out. Allar & Klubnik have potential. Not sure about the Tennessee kid.

One of the lower rated guys, Maalik Murphy transfered from Duke to Oregon St. He looks like he has some tools. He could emerge as a higher rated prospect. Mendoza is another to watch. You west coast guys maybe can provide info on him. He transfered from Cal to Indiana.

He was a redshirt Freshman at Alabama, tough kid. This will be his 3rd year out of HS. One to watch but like Manning more likely 2 seasons down the road

Nico Iamaleava

Now I really do not want to get into semantics, but Iamaleava left Tennessee because they would not come up with more money and now he is going to end up at UCLA? Not sure, this is the type of guy I want to hitch my wagon to, however, no denying the talent as even though my beloved Buckeyes kicked the Volunteers back to Knoxville, Iamaleava impressed me, but I do believe he will stay a couple of years because UCLA football needs time under Head Coach DeShaun Foster.

And this is where the interview process means so much. He could talk about he made mistakes and grew from it, or not GAS and then be viewed as such.
Personally, I dont see the hype either way and thought he was exposed in the OSU game. A lot of chuck and duck throws and then just a 1 look and run

Agreed, but in that game against Ohio State, he was getting hit time and time again. Seem to take it on the chin and not blame anyone, although I did not see the press conference with him after the game. Granted now he is back home and playing with his brother or soon to be, so that is a plus and I like what Foster is building at UCLA, however, if they win more then 6 games this year, it will be a story.

So accountant is the one position you don't trust a paesan. Good call. :laugh4:

Okay, yeah I saw somewhere they said he was a class of 23' recruit, which would make him a true Soph...so that must have been wrong.

Yeah, nor in law either, but that's just me. Seriously though, I have not watched much of Eli Holstein so I will keep an eye on him although I do believe he will be part of the 2027 draft class IMO.

Narduzzi is on some thin ice in Pitt so its likely Holstein ends up wearing a 3rd team's uniform before his college career is finished

Wasn't part of him also leaving him wanting to go to a more NFL-like offense (which is saying a lot in college these days)?

I live here in Big Orange country and let me tell you Nico's father was a big part of the problem and Tennessee was not going to go along with him pimping his son like that, now I don't know about UCLA.

I dont a world where UCLA more resembles an NFL like offense than Tennessee. They were just about the lowest scoring offense in D1
And I actually think the QB Garbers is pretty decent
I wouldnt be surprised to see him transferring again after the '25 season. Another miserable year and Foster will be out, Bruins legend or not
