I love Shough's film, but the injuries and the age scare the absolute shit out of me. A twice broken collarbone? A broken fibula? At his age (twenty-five and will be twenty-six in September) and only playing a limited number of games (forty-two) in seven seasons, the main reason being injuries? There isn't much upside that I see in him getting better at avoiding injuries in the NFL, and there's not much development for him period.

I will be very upset if we take him in the first round. Some team is going to reach, and they're going to regret it. I just hope it's not us.

Rams only way of ending up in that top group is if the OL suffers a ton of injuries again. And even then they'd probably need to move up with a ton of picks from there.

We're gonna need to find Coach a QB who is at least slightly running under the radar.

If we are ever in position to draft him it would mean that we just went through a shitshow of a season.
The only way we get him is to trade for a future #1 from a team that bombs and ends up #1 overall in the year Manning comes out… because it won’t be us.

And on top of that would still have to offer up a historic haul of draft picks and assets to be in guaranteed position to pick him

From Jourdan on QB (with Snead quotes):

The Rams are open to drafting a quarterback this April, but say they won’t reach for one and understand other teams might want to trade into the first round at their pick point (No. 26) for that player. Both Snead and McVay have previously expressed interest in bringing a young player in to learn from veteran starter Matthew Stafford, with the intent that the drafted quarterback one day start.

“Always open to drafting a quarterback,” Snead said. “Usually another team who gets into that more serious level usually drafts that player earlier than we (would).

“If a team really thinks that player is their next QB, it’s not like they’re going, ‘Hey, let’s wait till the middle of the second round. Let’s do it now.’ … If the right guy fell to No. 26, and maybe he’s the right guy for another team, they might want to move into the first round (and) draft that guy. So maybe that is better for the Rams than picking that ‘right’ guy. That’s how to honestly answer that question. And then to be honest about the dishonesty, if we were really looking at a QB at No. 26, we would probably say an answer like that.”

Snead added that keeping Stafford for at least one more season — especially in combination with a young roster that outperformed expectations for consecutive seasons — puts the Rams in a “win-now” scenario and if the draft falls toward a player who fits into that, they’ll select him.

If you like Dart, I don't see why you wouldn't like Milton. Sure they were in different offenses but both very dissimilar to NFL offense and Milton is the superior talent who's shown some ability to pick up an NFL offense already. And Milton could be had cheaper.

We have his OC from last year on the staff so...
If one likes Milton, they should also like Milroe

Milton superior talent? Why did he go in the 6th then?
