I didn't have Jayden Daniels on my radar until you brought him up late last off season and I followed him. Gut just looks different, has amazing composure, and is able to deduce situational awareness and read the field very fast. In my head all of last year he was my #1 QB.Unless Sellers has an amazing season I think Allar goes #1 overall.
I personally prefer Sellers though I doubt we are able to get either. I only say Allar #1 based on talking heads discussing it. Sellers to me looks like a bigger stronger Daniel's though I haven't looked at their measurements side by side. Watching Allar I get none of those sentiments of things that make you a good to great NFL QB. However, I am a firm believer in a QB with a ton of game experience in college. He has 16 starts in college and played in 10 more. 13 in 24'. I'm sure 13 more is going to help him quite a bit just like a ton of starts helped Bo Nix.
I’ll be watching Sellers intently this year. Curious as hell with his ability.I personally prefer Sellers though I doubt we are able to get either. I agree on the starts issue too

Yeah I'm firmly in the Arch stays camp.I’ll be watching Sellers intently this year. Curious as hell with his ability.
If we place in top 13 with that Falcons pick we could have a chance to trade up and get a top 3 QB.
I’m starting to think Arch isn’t coming out and that is McSneads actual desire listening to them for years. If that’s the case we might just use that Falcon pick to get a first and make a run at Arch in a year more in 2027.
I don't know much of John Mateer but just looked him up, pretty good year last year. Not that it's gold but ESPN says he's 6'1 219 on their site. With only 2 QB drafted in '25, there will probably be 3-4 drafted in '26 just based off of annual trends.
Even picking at #32, the Rams would likely be able to get in the top 15 with their 2 1st rounders, 10-15 adding their '27 1st
I just dont see it in Nussmeier, will keep an eye on Klubnik and think Sellers has a looong way to go.
My guy is John Mateer. Seems like a McVay kind of guy. Scrappy gunslinger who wont be the top QB prospect due to his height (6'0)
Definitely a guy to keep an eye on. As I stated in another thread, he's a kid I got to see up close a couple of years in Boise. Came out on fire his red-shirt Freshman year, ('22) taking over the starting role, when the starter stumbled early in the season. Really added some excitement -mostly with his legs, but he has a strong arm as well. Accuracy is his issue.Huge fan of Taylen Green. He's an older prospect (will be twenty-four after the 2026 Draft), but he reminds me of Cam Newton on the field, and he's apparently a coachable kid.
Plus, we wouldn't have to use one of our firsts on him at the moment.

We ran into him at a restaurant downtown Boise before the '23 season and I had a nice conversation with him, wished him the best on the season. Nice kid comes from a good family. But his '23 season was a little disappointing, in that he did not take the next step. His passes often sailed, and drives would stall. Then he would pull some Kappernick-like 80 yard run for a touchdown.
Ultimately it became clear though that if the coaches wanted a breakaway run, they wanted it from Jeanty, and Green was put into some weird time-sharing duty with a quarterback nearly a foot shorter than him.
Green went into the portal and I think that was smart for him. Getting some good QB coaching, and becoming a better decision maker.
I'm rooting for him. He may have the most raw talent of anyone in the '26 class, depending on if Arch declares. (I don't think he will.) I'll be watching Arkansas closely.
Edit: You say Cam Newton? He's certainly not as stout as Newton. He reminds me a LOT of Randall Cunningham. (Before your time Mem.)
