Last night (on a whim) I checked Puka's MVP odds on Draft Kings. It was a very inviting 500-1, so I laid three whole dollars on it.

Now it's 250-1. Still not a bad deal. If he's over a 1000 yards and 100 catches by midseason it will be 12-1.

I'd be stunned if Puka won MVP. Not that he doesn't deserve it (same like he deserved offensive rookie of the year), but quarterbacks always win MVP, and if not quarterbacks, it's running backs. I can't remember the last time a wide receiver won the MVP award.

Now offensive player of the year? I'd bet on that, and I'm not normally a betting woman.

No doubt. A receiver has never won MVP. QB's are the rule, RB's under certain circumstances and once in a blue moon there is a defender.

But someday a WR will get it. Why not Puka? If he (somehow) managed to keep this pace he would shatter the yards and receptions records (2100+ yds and 179 receptions) and he would be solid MVP contender.

No receiver has ever hit 2k, so it would be a big deal (like Saquon last year).

If his odds of breaking 2k are (say) 25-1, then 500-1 for MVP is a bargain. I wish I had bet $50 before the line moved.

correct sir.. he is a Hall Of Famer.
I don't know about a MAX contract. See if you can get a home town discount first.
No sense in lighting money on fire.
I just luv the guy. The attitude he plays the game with is almost as fun to watch as the skills he plays with. He has made me laugh out loud a few times this year.
Like when he stands up straight and flexes after a first down. A few games ago he was doing that. And another receiver (Adams) got the first down. So he runs up next to him and does the flex himself. While the receiver is still on the ground getting up !
He plays like a kid in the back yard and I think its great.

No, you are not.
