I didn’t call for that.

The cap already obviated teams from stockpiling talent unless they have a rookie QB...

expanding the game day roster to 53 to accommodate injuries would be relatively easy. Simple changes that really only address allowing a few 3rd stringers to play in the case of a batch of injuries so that TEs aren’t being asked to play OL or w/e but it’s not a hill to die on.

I love that song. Play it often. I'm not always a downer. Like I said before I predicted a 13-3 year in 2018. I'm a landscape architect by trade. I was trained to do critical analysis on propertoes, locate all of the problem areas or neglected areas and incorporate solutions into my designs. So I tend to focus on what needs fixed. It's become a habit.
Well I am an Accountant and I look at the debits vs the credits and I believe we have vastly improved the team in run defense with a small offset in pass defense in losing Littleton. I think Robinson in the middle will greatly improve the run defense. I didn't think much of SJD. Littleton really wasn't that good in run defense either. Good player just felt he was out of position as a middle linebacker - needs to be an outside linebacker in a 4-3.

I am hoping one of the new guys can offset Littleton's strength on pass coverage.

As for offense - well I am hoping a healthy Cam can offset an injured Gurley and the offensive line is maybe a tad bit better with more experience.

Cooks was done last year after his latest concussion so losing him was a wash.

I am hoping Reynolds or Jefferson can offset Cooks contributions.

Their offense wasn't that bad last year. With the same offense with a significant improvement in run defense will help the Rams improve to 10-6 and make the playoffs as the second or third wild card team.

I've never been impressed with SJD either. He flashes a play here or there but overall he gets pushed around too much for a big guy. I'm sure Snead envisioned him as a stout lane clogger when he drafted him. I really hope Ashawn can stop the run consistently and pull some attention away from Donald on pass plays.

I was psyched about them playing in their new stadium and in their new uniforms. Now the season being played at all is up in the air and their uniforms, IMHO, suck dead donkey dicks. That being said if the season is played and the players are not too embarrassed to show up in the ridiculous uniforms they've been given I think we have a bounce back year and make the playoffs as division winners.

2020 Prediction by season quarters:
first 4 games: 2-2 with tough losses to Cowboys and Bills
second 4 games: 3-1 with another close loss @SF
third 4 games: team starts to really gel and only loses 1 game to TB. we could win that one though
fourth 4 games: loss to SEA at home
Final Record: 11-5. 4-2 in NFCW. Go Rams!!!!

One kind of mini-trend I've noticed: McVay does not like losing to any team twice in a row.
Agree but you can probably say that about all the coaches lol.

I do think McVay gets in players' asses a bit, not in a bad way but guys are going to hear about it when their film has mistakes and halfass effort. This is where I suspect Gurley and him had issues in fact.

He's kind of like a nicer Belichick IMO. He probably calls guys out in a more constructive way (going off the rumor here that Belichick lights dudes up on film review day), so I think the Rams' goal is to avoid the moody types who might get touchy when called out. And again this is all unfounded perception on my part as we really don't know shit about how either coach is when film review goes down.
