Only question about Whit stepping right in if necessary, is that he's taking off a lot of weight. He might need more junk in the trunk to be the old Whit we remember.
Maybe but his great working well seasoned brain is very heavy!

No matter how you slice it, its still a step or two down from Whitworth. Noteboom and AJ looked good in limited duty. How long until teams find weaknesses to exploit. Its not like they've played 5 or more games at left tackle. There will be more tape and more reps to pick apart.

Any time you lose a guy of Whitworth caliber it is cause for concern, until proven otherwise.
Did the Rams really ever find an equal replacement for the retired Adam Timmerman @ RG or even center Andy McCollum?

I trust Note’s ability. The Rams do need a plan B should he get injured.

Noteboom has 17 games worth of experience and he's been solid. The problem is Edwards who is a marginal OG. Under strength, plays too high, and generally inconsistent technique. He should be playing better by now and isn't.

It's pretty obvious they are going to allow Havenstein to playout his contract and become a comp pick. I think they have the same plans for Edwards. Jackson looks like he could be an upgrade over Havenstein next year. Arcuri is the kind of late round OT you can develop into a decent swing OT starting next year.

If Jack Snyder looks like he should in TC that would give them two reserve OGs in Shelton and Snyder. It looks like the Rams have gotten away from Kromer's failed idea of drafting OTs to convert into OGs. They take too long to develop. Now they are drafting OGs to play OGs and OTs to play OT. Bruss could kick outside to RT in an emergency but he entered the draft as an OG. It was clear from the draft war room video that Bruss is expected to start at ROG.

If they trade it will be for an edge to replace Von.

Nope and they weren’t any good once they left. Fisher tried lowballing Oline for years, Devanney couldn’t draft it to save his life.

Noteboom looked good in pass pro in limited duty, but he’s no Andrew Whitworth.
