Prayers for Poona.

After last season in the NBA, calf injuries get my attention. Luka was out for months with his calf injury. Halliburton (and others) played with a strained calf and popped his Achilles.

"It's true, the literature doesn't support a direct link between a calf injury and an Achilles tear," one orthopedic surgeon who preferred to remain anonymous told CBS Sports on Sunday night. "But there's a common sense aspect to this, and for all injuries, in the sense that it's along the same structure (the calf muscle and Achilles tendon), and any time one thing is weakened, the whole support system surrounding it kind of has to pick up more slack. ... If you're playing on an injured knee, you might be more apt to sprain your ankle. Compensation down the chain has to be considered."
Dr. Alan Beyer, an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician at the Hoag Orthopedic Institute, agrees that "there is not much literature" to support a direct connection between calf strains leading to Achilles tears.

However, "a bad calf strain can extend down to the Achilles musculotendinous junction, and thereby make an Achilles tear more likely," Dr. Beyer added.

I would sit him this week. If we can't beat the Cards without him then they have a whole different set of problems that have nothing to do with whether he plays or not.

My, how 1 game can totally change perceptions.

FWIW, not that you're jumping ship but just in case.....the Rams lost to the 6-6 Carolina Panthers, who are now 7-6.

The 2024 Eagles lost to the Falcons who finished 8-9.
The 2023 Chiefs lost to both the Raiders (8-9) and Denver (8-9)
The 2022 Chiefs lost to the Colts (4-12)

So losing to a shit team doesn't prevent a team from winning a Super Bowl. Shit happens.
Its not about the perception of the team per se, or about this one loss. It the perception of how many teams are in the running for the playoffs. 3 of our division is in the Running and dont seem to lose. 1 Loss is all it will take to be #1 seed vs Out at this rate. 10 Teams are 6 Wins or more in the Confrence. We dont have any Tiebreakers on our side, due to losing to our confrence. Thats why things are up in the air atm!

Eagles and Chiefs did one thing we cant. Beat down their confrence.

1 More loss and we are outside looking in at #8.

Really? So what you're saying is Seattle and San Francisco are going to win out and the Rams are going to lose 2 more games? I think a couple other teams would also have to win big the rest of the way. Say, Detroit, Green Bay and/or Chicago. Man you're showing a lot of confidence in those other teams. Way more than you're showing in the Rams.

Like I said, 1 loss can really change the perception.
We need a dominant get right game here, I have nothing but full confidence in this team to make it happen
We need a win. Period. It doesn't matter what the score is. Just win.

i dont think one loss puts us at 8

but we would definitely be looking down the barrel of missing the playoffs...

Murry has always been to little. The only way to improve and over come that was to study his ass off. He will never do that. He came to the NFL to get cash in and found his sucker. Now he lets it play out and can maybe go to base ball. He just never cared.

One of the St. Louis Blues forwards, Alexei Toropchenko, just got burned on his legs and is out a month doing shit like that.

People, for your safety, please don't dip frozen turkeys in boiling oil. Just cook them like a normal, sane person.
Gotta absolutely make certain the thing is fully defrosted before it goes in. Will explode like a bomb if it's still frozen.

In the two games where the opposing team lost 5ish players to injuries we lost. Lets hope the Cards only have this injury before gameday!

When I cooked it was thawed, brined, and dried and didn't have splashing issues, plus had a brick wall between the pot and legs
But been years, brother has a new house

I dont think there is any good way to cook a frozen turkey, always best to thaw first.
