I think the Jags will be more likely to trade with the rams. So help me out. Why would they want to trade him.

So 5 days after the draft we now want a WR who can contribute? Hilarious.
Well since we didn't get anyone that I wanted during the draft - I am all for it
BTJ had a really bad year last year. They barely used him at the end. Struggled with injuries. Was thinking that he would be an excellent bounce-back candidate in our system, and unlike A.J. Brown and George Pickens, he wouldn't have a massive contract because he's still on his rookie contract with a potential fifth-year if he shows out like he did his rookie year.
Contribute as in plays less than half the snaps and only costs a one year contract.
He's Brandin Cooked now. Does not have it.
There were rumors he was on the trade block but Gladstone shut that down in the media a month ago, but rumors persisted days before the draft. Gladstone stated Thomas is a big part of their plans for 26'. Now, was that GM speak or is he available for the right price? I will add Pro Footballl Talk was pushing the rumor, so take that with a grain of salt
With the draft over, probably less likley though since they can't get a 26' draft pick.

Think this is the most optimistic view on him.
But if he's not gonna be able to run digs which is a staple of our offense (especially from the X) and have drops when he does or shy away from contact... I just don't know about spending a second round pick on him.

Think there's a chance they already planned on getting Diggs or Brown and drafted Simpson with that in mind?

Brown i give less than 5% chance. Our offer would have to be TOO much better than New England's for Philly to send him in-Conference.
Diggs is intriguing as a 3. As is Deebo. As I've said earlier I'd like to acquire a 2 and make Davante a 3.
I'm thinking of the Watkins trade '17 and Cooks trade '18.

I think AJ is already a Patriot. The Pats didn't draft a WR, and the Eagles spent 3 picks to get Lemon, not mention that they added 3 other WRs in FA.
So both teams hurt their leverage for a Brown trade, so I assume the trade is done and it will be announced on June 1st.
Possibly re New England but then they were the SB team last year and are a potential match up so he may not want to trade to them either. All speculating at this point on my end.
Nobody in Football worries about who they could potentially meet in the Final. Philly wont send him to US cause we can cost them a Playoff spot, OR in any of THREE rounds of Playoffs.
Unless there is an injury that I don't know about I don't believe that the team needs to bring in another WR at this time. Not unless perhaps he's a return guy or something.

Yeah, and if something happens to a WR, and they are playing like a strong contender, they will add at the deadline.
Not asking for an all-star team Memphis, asking for a 3, which could come relatively cheap.
Though I myself AM asking for a 2, at the COST of a 2027 2 maybe cause i low key want Adams as a 3.
