Rapp is my favorite but where does he fit ?

Weddle signed for 2 years and JJ3 has played great .

I love secondary depth but just confuse on why they spent their highest pick on a safety

Weddle is also 34 years old, so it's hard to know just how much he has left, he's also an easy CAP casualty following this season with only $500,000 in dead money.

Long easily. If he was 6'0 205 he would've been gone way before our first possible pick. But since he's "only" 5'11 196 he fell. He's gonna be stuck to receiver's hips for years. I like everything I heard about rapp, just don't know what his role in our defense is. Is he Barron with more coverage abilities? Love the Henderson pick. I think this is the first high pick we've spent on a back since Gurley so you know they liked him. If we can get him 10 carries a game it'll go a long way for Gurley. Maybe there will even be games where Gurley does less but Henderson hits the homeruns. They tried it with CJ but he was more of a thudder type. Henderson can be dynamic.

My favorite pick is the WAY they pick, the strategy behind it.

Never in my lifetime have the Rams seemed to be as SMART as they are now. Feels like they’re one step ahead of everyone else...

Yeah, I was very uneasy after last night, but I watched McSnead pressers today and they're of course great at explaining what they're doing.

Long for me. He just looks like a really good player from what I've seen.
I like Rapp...but really wanted Adderley. Henderson is fine. Evans looks like a decent pick to me - of all the picks he's the one I've seen the most. He looks good from what I've seen...hopefully can be coached up from there.

I gotta go with Rapp. Everything I've heard or read about him said he should be late 1st or early 2nd round. To get him at #61 was a great. The only thing, where does he fit with Weddle and Johnson as starters? Is he going to be a rotational guy until Weddle hangs it up? Long could start on some teams too but he'll probably be a rotational guy until year two. I'm starting to think this is Talib's last year in LA. All I know is, its nice to have guys as depth who are good enough to be starters elsewhere.

Rapp. Instant upgrade over Lamarcus Joyner. Rapp is smart so there won't be any bonehead mistakes like LJ was having last year. He'll learn behind Weddle and be able to take over once Weddle leaves.

I can see why you like Long. To be honest it was between Long and Rapp for me. I think the way they use Rapp is in sets like big nickle. You get 3 safeties out there with Weddle in the box, and Rapp acting as the big nickle. Plus Rapp is a big safety (pun) net. If JJ III or Weddle go down, there's not a huge dropoff. Then you add the football smarts....Rapp might eventually be the guy making adjustments prior to the snap.

Long seems to be such an upgrade as depth with the ability to replace replace Talib or Peters in an injury situation with possibly minor dropoff. Long could end up elite and a complete steal with a year of seasoning. Is Long as versatile? I guess he can play a traditional nickle role? How much does Wade want to play a traditional nickle as opposed to big nickle?

In the end I look at Rapp and Long as 1a and 1b. I'm probably biased because I was a safety.

Going to concur with @BonifayRam Darrell Henderson and it's not even close with me as I look forward to Henderson taking that first swing pass the distance with that 4.4 speed. Again, we will learn more about Gurley, but now with Brown & Henderson I feel really good about the running game and IMO, that was an element the Patriot could not defend, but the Rams had nobody to exploit it.

I love the depth we built with our Multiple Oline picks, though passing on McCoy may turn out to be a huge mistake. We will see.

But my Fav pick is Henderson, Could be a Dynamic homerun threat for us. We will see.

3rd safeties are very important in today’s NFL. He will be on the field plenty don’t worry. Gets to learn from Weddle and JJ too.

My concern with Henderson is just a personal hang up, honestly. I just don't believe that players who put up ridiculous and gaudy stats (like 8.9 yards per carry) will succeed in the NFL. How many QBs have broken conference records in college and gone on to be nobodies? Or the guys with the best stat at the combine are terrible (fastest 40, most bench reps, highest vertical from what I've seen are usually bad players, but I haven't looked the last couple of years). Did the NCAA all time career or single season sack leader turn out to be a great player?

The super high ypc just makes me think he's one of those guys that was in a great situation that maximizes his good and minimized his bad in not NFL circumstances.

That being said, if McVay thinks he'll be great it's good enough for me.

Who comes off the field in big nickel situations? I'm hearing Rapp has a huge ceiling. I'm excited.

Not sure I follow the logic here. Are you saying you prefer college players who don't put up amazing numbers?

One thing they will need to coach up Henderson on is switching the ball to his sideline arm/hand. He carried the rock with his left hand in every clip I have seen of him. Thats an easy fix and I expect that dude to terrorize defenses as a change of pace to TG.
