Big overreaction here.

This happens almost every tough fought NFL game with frustrating results for the defense. Michael Bennett did the same thing to us when we beat them this year.

Rams' rush on Lions' kneel-down 'did not come from the sideline'

Anyone who has played line in football knows there is some pretty nasty stuff going on at the bottom of the pile. Looks like a little retribution was given.

Well there ya go.
And that's why the camera guys were escorted from the locker room.

I don't know who is at fault or not but just seems whiny to me. And that's twice this season we've seen Aaron Donald take out his frustrations in a poor way. I get the "retribution" thing but do it during the part of the game it matters in? And all this does is give teams a blueprint for getting to him. Now they know, "if we do this and this to Donald he might blow a gasket or not have his head completely in the game". Not saying that happened or will happen but you can't show weakness or perceived weakness in this league or everyone will copy how to exploit it.

Sorry but Fisher and Williams have a bad rap for dirty play . I doubt either one had a hand in it but it all goes back to them .

Yeah, I've heard all that bullshit from the Vikes coach, the Fox play by play dick, blah, blah, blah.....

Need something else to rip Fisher about? Fine

Post away

Don't be surprised when me and the majority that have voted disagree with that opinion

Not buying the "rap"

I don't have a problem with it. Donald can penetrate. Nobody expects it. One surprise rush and a hand on the ball and maybe they get a lucky forced fumble. The defense had to feel frustrated mainstay egg. I don't get where in a game so brutal, there is a sudden code of submission.

But, it doesn't help the teams image in the refs eyes.

Completely agree.
If it was the Cheatriots doing it and somehow forced a fumble leading to a game winning drive, the media would be praising Belichick. But since it's the Rams and Fisher, it's a dirty dirty play.
I don't think it was called from the sidelines (as evidenced by the article) and lean towards player frustration. It's a fair play as long as the time on the scoreboard is ticking in my opinion.

I'm a stickler for good sportsmanship and I hate this BS. This is one of those unspoken rules that the Rams broke. You know damn well we'd all be pissed if our Center and QB were hobbled on a QB Kneel play! We lost the game when it mattered, take it like a man and go throw a chair in the locker room or break a mirror like Will Hayes haha! This only adds to the perception that this team will do some questionable ish. That never helps in those 50/50 calls that inevitably come up every game. Now if a team does this to the Rams, there is no room to complain about it. It will be, "Just playing all 60 minutes." or something along those lines.

Play winning football and rise above this crap. This is not a problem good football teams encounter.

I vote neither, there was still time on the clock. Why not try and smack the ball loose?

How many times have I read posts on this and other Rams boards complaining the Rams did not play till the end? Come on! so what if the Lions have their panties in a wad. With time left enough to score and tie the game I'm proud of them for trying anything they can.

Rules of engagement. Victory formation exists in part to prevent needless risk of injury in a game that was already decided. As this one was.

Submarining a victory formation may look tough but no one's knocking the ball loose with that stunt. It only pisses people off.

I think it's cheap shot stuff, whether it's done to or by the Rams..I have to disagree that it happens in most close, hard- fought games...It happens very, very seldom that I can remember...

Would that be like a black light?

I don't think that was a coaching decision, but who knows.
And if it was, I'd lean more towards Williams than Fisher.
Fisher is on the competition committee.
It's (probably) also why the camera crews were ejected from the locker room.
Someone was getting their ass verbally kicked over that one.
I thought Fisher wasn't on the competition committee anymore?
