<-------------- CAMP WENTZ

NDSU/Wentz fan here - I have nothing against Goff, I just really don't want to root for the Browns:(

Trust me, the Eagles would be worse...

How about you guys just draft Wentz and I don't have to worry about any of the other spots like the whiners. I'm going to be pissed if the advanced pro style QB ends up with Chip and his goof ball offense. Don't let that happen. I'm assuming Snead reads this board often.

I - I mean, he - reads it every now and then.

Well.... then.... maybe one of you guys better text him. Tell him we haven't decided between Goff and Wentz, but we're all in agreement we don't want Wentz in whinerville. So just draft Wentz.

That's going to be maddening isn't it? Your team gives up plenty picks to take a guy #1 at a position that a lot of people think has been the missing link to success and he's on the bench for half a season. That's going to be so anti-climatic for us fans. And I fully recognize that is very possibly what is fixing to happen to us and probably out of necessity. There is going to be a lot of Wentz, Wentz, Wentz or Goff, Goff, Goff chants this season at the Coliseum until one of them finally hits the field. And what if we are winning with Keenum when the coaches decide our new rookie QB is ready????
Maddening yes but that's because we are fans not NFL coaches. We gave up a lot of picks but that's the price for a franchise QB. It's just my opinion about sitting the rookie but that might not be possible with what we have on the team right now at QB. I can tell you without a doubt that if Keenum comes out winning games for us the rookie will be riding the pine.

Something about Northeastern fans... Boston, NY, Philly... I dunno. Although, I never got that from Buffalo fans, so maybe just literally big city East Coast fans...,but the obnoxiousness is noxious...

From the city of Brotherly Love... Philly fans are the only fans to ever knock out Santa with an Ice ball... Santa riding around the outer ring during an Eagles game and a fan...BOOM...KO Santa. Who chunks a hunk of ice at Santa? Philly fan. It wasn't the only piece of ice or snow thrown, it's just the one that hit.

Philly fan has also on occasion throw batteries, etc. Not to mention the conduct at the game. Old Veteran's stadium? hooo man. I knew plenty of grown men who wouldn't go to see an Eagles game...AS FANS!!! (I have plenty of family in the Lehigh Valley and on the Jersey side as well). Philly used to be my second team for a lot of years because of the family connection.

And once I got on the internet? holy moses... That guy, EDP, who loses his mind about all things Eagles...isn't far off from the average Philly fan from Philly.

I feel bad for Cleveland fans, but those folks are devoted and they just want to see a decent product on the field. They actually show up in that gawd awful weather and they've been served crap sandwiches for so many years now. It wouldn't surprise me if Hue Jackson turned them around, actually. Better them, than the Eagles or the *gag* 9ers...

LOL no kidding!

George was a doofclank and a real jerk, but truly he may have had the strongest arm that the NFL has ever seen.

One reporter in Indy (I lived there when the Colts drafted him) said he saw him throw a ball through the goalposts from the 50 yard line and he didn't take a running start, just a regular throw. There was also a story going around when he was in college that he hit the end zone from the opposite 30 yard line.

I am a Goff fan. But he can't get it 55 yards in the air right now. When he gets a little stronger maybe he can, but he's got an average amount of power in his arm.

But man that guy has Fred Astaire feet.

None of this translates to the NFL and probably shows Wentz should probably look to protect himself more, but do you not like?

I think the value of arm strength is not in ability to throw the ball far....my son, who is a baseball pitcher in college, can throw a football 55-60 yards now....doesnt mean he could throw into a tight window 25 yards down field.
I saw Favre throw a ball about 35 yards once....on a dead run to avoid pressure, running to his left, he sort of side armed the ball. He was throwing it away to avoid a sack and had a chunk of empty field about 30 yards out. So, he whipped it against his body 35 yards for an incompletion. Thing is, the ball never went above chest height....he hummed that thing. That was one of the more impressive throws I have seen in person.
So, even a noodle arm can toss it 50 yards on an arc. The thing is being able to throw into a window 25, 30, 35 yards down field. This is why the deep out is such a great measure of arm strength.
Goff has enough positives to offset concerns about pure raw arm strength I think.
I agree about George as well. Unbelievable arm.
