Sitting here at 6-4 and with a fairly tough schedule to finish out the season, are the Rams a playoff team?

IMO the Rams have to win out. Don't like counting on other teams to lose

Right now the good thing is almost all the teams in front of the Rams have to play each other.

Too injured, too unlucky, and too little too late.

I interpreted the question to mean are the Rams a playoff team, as in caliber. I answered YES.

If it was meant to reflect whether or not I think we'll MAKE the playoffs, I'd answer differently. A badly timed shanked FG, a few HORRIBLE ref calls, and some unbelievable luck by the teams were chasing make this unlikely. We should be in playoff picture now at 8-2 and tiebreaker advantage...

Having written that, if we're going to receive as much good luck the rest of the season as we've had bad luck so far, we're winning the whole damned enchilada baby!

I think they are good enough team wide to be a playoff team. Doesn’t mean we’ll make it there though.

Right now our fate can be almost in our own hands we just have to beat the NFC West games and the Cowboys. Ravens are the one game we can still kind of afford to lose. We also are lucky that the Vikings and Seahawks play each other in two weeks. So we just got to take care of our division.

I just voted no, but I hold out hope yet.

In truth, I garner hope that the negative Nancies of the world will breathe a sigh of relief at an overall negative outlook and move on from the Rams this year :)

I put the fork in us after our loss to the Steelers. Really needed that victory. It's not impossible, but we already lost to both the 9ers and the Hawks, so hoping we somehow beat them both now seems unlikely. But division games are unpredictable, and we are a completely different team now then we were than so who knows. But my gut says next year. But that could just be an old habit being a Rams fan.

Will they make the playoffs, slim chance.

Would they win any games, slim chance, (the way they are playing)

One game at a time. If the OL can grow into a solid unit and the defense can grow into an elite group we're in business. No telling at this point.

If mcvay runs a smashmouth type of o and only airs it out when needed then i believe the rams have a great shot.

Pretty confident 11-5 is going to be the required minimum to nab a NFC playoff birth.

This thread will have more merit and responses should the Rams go toe to toe with the Ravens next Monday night and will their way to a victory.

The Ravens of late, are a true measuring stick of what a real NFL contender looks like.

In the AFC? Yes.

In the NFC? Meh. Possibly.

That's ok, though. I'm watching the games anyway

I voted yes, although we are on the outside looking in. Our OL is going to remain a project throughout the remainder of the season, and our depleted WR position is going to be another temporary problem, but if the abusive ref's would chill their heels, the Rams still have plenty of talent to draw from. McVay may have arrived a game or two too late to his realization of Gurley's importance, so we'll just have to see how it plays out now. Until we're officially out of it, we're in it, ... and our boys aren't quitters, they're going to go down fighting all the way. jmo.

Yes because I never give up hope. We haven't looked as good as I expected but we have lost some tight ones and won despite playing below our abilities. Let's do this.

Do I REALISTICALLY believe the 2019 Rams are a legit playoff team?

I cannot filter this question through my fandom processor unit. :p

Regardless, my answer is yes....

I'd like to think so and will have hope till it's mathematically impossible. I still believe the wide right and the stinker in Pittsburgh will be their undoing.

Let's see if we can pressure with the best D lineman to play the game as we stopped a rb we have stopped before in ingram. We have no one fast enough to spy Lamar.. I saw Obo even get in and pressure Trubisky . Not many mentioned that. #45 will be a great addition once we set his position. If we can set the edges and prevent escape I say only the Rams can shut this O down. I'm not sure Fowler can rush and hold his edge. Fowlers inside blitz move is not working and he leaves the edge open. Hoping he can bring down Ingram from behind the LOS. Clay has really been a shot in the arm to this D as has SJD in Suh's place and Fox is holding his ground. Teams are running in the whole AD leaves with his quick penetration. Can't let Lamar have that lane. Our great Husky LB #58 just needs another of his top games in run and pass against all 3 Raven TE's . IT CAN BE DONE. LET'S " SHOCK THE WORLD". Then run wild in 5 straight games against NFC West and plowboys. No blue pants. We end up in the superdome or greenbay either way. I'll take the dome again as we've done that. Brees don't want to see Donald again and maybe Evans does better then Havs did against Cam Jordan this time like he did against #52 of da bears. total stalemate. Put Ramsey on "can't guard Mike". Knock that grin off peyton's puss one more time and cover Edelman with Ramsey this time as we actually play Gurley every freaking play with all our recievers. Cooks,Woods,Kupp and a Reynolds who is growing a heart finally and learning to finally sell PI. Add Everett and Higbee with Mundt pass blocking and playing some FB and we finally take that banner to SoFi.(y)
