And as an aside....we play Arizona and Detroit the next two. I expect that Detroit game to be tough because they will be fighting for their lives, but that McVay and co. will come up with a fantastic gameplan after Detroit pushed us around a bit the last two years.

If we win those games.....and Seattle either loses one at Atlanta, or home against the Colts....

We could essentially clinch the division on that Thursday night, or at least eliminate Seattle from being able to win it. A win against them and we'd be 12-3, whereas they'd be 10-5 (this is contingent upon them losing one prior to our next game against them and us winning both though).

The Niners would technically still be alive, so we wouldn't formally clinch. But would be nice to force Seattle into a wildcard role

IMO we are going to kick Detroit's ass. Our offense should have a field day.

You don't have to sack Goff to get him dancing around in the pocket, and he's just a tick faster than Stafford so we don't have to worry about Goff running all over the field.

Another thing is Goff isn't a pinpoint passer most of the time, and half the time he relies on his receivers to make adjustments to make catches, which may help Forbes in not getting burned.

One thing that does worry me is Detroit's running back getting past our LB's, as most of our DB's don't have the speed or open field tackling ability to stop long runs.

Just rewatched the Sunday night Buccaneer game and we'll be fine. Really dialed in and we will be again going forward. Team just didn't bring it against the Panthers.
I re-watched the Panthers game and yeah I agree.

Some weird stuff happened there (not to mention the cold rain)....could it happen again, sure.

But ill take my chances with these guys.

We’ll have a full weeks rest for the Lions game. Then we play Seattle on Thursday night, who will also be on 4 days rest.
If I could read - or comprehend - in my old age.....

Got confused by the fact that the next LIONS game, after Thursday is against the Rams - but WTH would be playing 2 TNF games in a row....

Playing LIONS then SEAHAWKS in four days - that's better.... :woozy2: :laugh2:

....then 10 days to rest up for a Falcon beat-down....

Losing to the Panthers isn't a huge deal in terms of the loss itself. I don't believe the Panthers are as bad as most think.

The 49ers loss is way more concerning.

I paid 8.50$ for front row seats at the Forum for Led Zepplin's 1st LA concert in 1970.

First time they played "Stairway To Heaven" and "Going To California" to a live audience. Great concert.

Maybe not - but the Panthers will roll-over for the sea-chickens....
Just you watch....

Say that you still hold some kind of grudge against Goff without actually saying it.

Easily one of the most accurate passers in the league.

I don’t see them rolling over. They got everything to gain and nothing to lose. They also got some serious talent to make a run in a conference that is up for grabs.

Dang the panthers picked Purdy like there's no tomorrow, but they still lost. WTH?

I don't hold any grudge against Goff.

Though his accuracy percentage may high, his throws from what I have seen requires his WR's to make adjustments, and his throws don't have the velocity like Stafford. This could help are DB's (Forbes in particular) recover or be in a better position to make a play on the ball.

Actually the lions played two TNF games in a row. Thanksgiving and this week.
