One thing to keep in mind is if we rest starters and end up with the 4th seed and crazy things happen in the playoffs, we'd have to go to Tampa for the NFC championship. I know that's a pretty remote possibility but it is one.
I don't really care who we play 1st unless it's Philly because it's a bad match up with our weakness vs their strengths. Big question is do we play starters against Seattle? The 3rd seed could be on the line, so my guess is yes.
McVay should ignore seeding. Too much in flux anyway.
He should also play to win next week and only rest a few starters.
Rest Stafford b/c we can't risk injury to him. Rest Hav b/c he's recovering from injury and we need every starting OT. Rest Kupp b/c he's old and we need vintage Kupp.
Everyone else plays!
The OL can continue to gel. The offense as a whole needs reps so they don't get rusty.
The defense is young and needs reps to continue its improvement.
This is exactly how I feel. I'd want that #3 seed. It does mean something. It offers us a chance to not leave SoFi and face winter weather until the SB. I think we can still win with the quoted scenario and we should do our best to hang a W.

i don’t think it matters. Philly is already ahead of us. We might have to play there whether we are the 3 or the 4 seed. If we get the 4 the only other possible outdoor game would be TB. Which likely wouldn’t be a bad weather game. We’ve won there in the divisional round before. I think health is the most important factor for this teams success and Id take a fully healthy team over home field if given the option.
