Here's our UFA's, any you want back? Obviously Alaric Jackson is a yes
View attachment 69455

Alaric for sure. Would take Hoecht back if it's team-friendly - I like what he brings to the D now that he's not relied upon to be our other edge. Might want to keep Bobby Brown as well. Drob? Depending on what we do at WR I might consider keeping him.

Not as down on TuTu as some, but McVay doesn't want to use him, so let him walk to someone who will use him.

I'd trade Kyren Williams and Cooper Kupp if we could get a third for each of them. I'd also look into trading Jonah Jackson; if he's just sitting on the bench for a guard spot, what's the point?

Rozeboom and Reeder should go. D-Will, possibly Witherspoon, and especially Kendrick could (should in the lattermost) go if we can find an upgrade at corner - which we should. BB3 and Gallimore could go as well, and I wouldn't mind; BB3 is going to get paid, and he doesn't strike me as the type of guy who excels with a second contract.

Noteboom should also go; what's the point of having him if he's just going to be inactive?

I don't know what to do with Higbee. I don't. On one hand, he's saves salary, he's had injury issues, and we have the capability to upgrade him in the draft. On the other, he's our best tight end by far, and Long being an UFA and Parkinson's disappearing act makes him necessary.

Atwell is gone, and thank fate we can close the chapter on his "potential", and that I'll never have to say his name ever again. Robinson's earned himself a huge payday, and Johnson might want to get opportunities as well.

Honestly, I'd say the only two players I'd really want to spend money to keep are A-Jax (even with his unreliability, he's still the best left tackle on the market) and Hoecht (who is actually a solid edge if he's not counted on to be the main guy, which he wasn't this year).
I don't agree with all of your takes but I like that you stand by them. Plus, as the off season gets going you'll have replacements lined up (suggested).

We agree on that

He might be and I'm not saying I'm cutting him. But he's not getting younger and he's more and more dinged up every year. His play is also not what it once was. We also do not currently have a backup. It would be criminal to not draft a guy that could play RT. He could eventually start I didn't say I'm cutting him I'm saying the road is coming to an end for him hell next year is the last year on his contract anyways.

We all know McSnead have a history of addressing a need the year before it becomes a hole. I don't get this reluctance to add a RT/Swing tackle to the team literally the only tackles on the roster at the start of the next year are Rob and McClendon the rest are free agents.
Rob hater! You MUST be OND!

Agreed. I have the idea; it just needs to be implemented.

I'm with @OldSchool that Gallimore should be back, but other than he and Alaric, I just dont see pounding the table for anyone else. A couple would be on the NFW list, Noteboom, Long and Tutu

Link to Sportrac for availability of LBers. Draft may be the way to go.

Gallimore if it's team friendly.

I'm don't necessarily have Tutu on NFW list, but it's pretty damn clear that McVay isn't going to use him no matter how many times he gets open deep.

I think Hoecht is a valuable depth piece. It would have to be team-friendly, but if they could do that, I'd gladly have him back.

Just curious after the Atwell hate for four years - is there someone you've admitted to being wrong about? Seems like if you don't like someone, that sticks no matter what.

There is no team trading a 3rd for either Kyren or Kupp. Both stocks are down, and Kyren will want a new contract imminently.

LOL I never ever said I was cutting or trading him. I said it may be time for him to retire. He's not the player he once was and we obviously need a replacement/backup which we do not have right now. Drafting an OT or two is an obvious thing that's going to happen unless we sign a free agent which I don't know that there's any out there that's worth a damn.
My bad, he doesn't need to retire quite yet is my stance on that one but I'm definitely on board of having a plan/player in place to replace him. McClendon was so fuckin awful I don't know how the Rams ignore that spot.

Alaric Jackson for sure. Pay him market rate.

The rest aren't crucial...But here's my list.

Witherspoon - on a decent contract.
Jimmy G
Bobby Brown - if inexpensive
Tutu (as backup) - if very inexpensive

Not sure how accurate but Spotrac shows we have about 49M in cap space in '25.

I would Pay Alaric - Maybe you get him at around 20M per year?

Brown or Gallimore maybe, have to see what they command and break down Gallimore film a bit more. Was his end of season flash for real? Could probably replace Brown in the draft.

Witherspoon i might pay if its reasonable.

The rest are replaceable.

Yeah but that's only around 42 or 43 players currently under contract.

Remember, the magic off-season number is 51.
Thanks, I know there is the rookie pool and some other stash but not sure how much is expected. Maybe 10M?

Either way its seems we could sign Alaric and at least one Free Agency Splash.

Looking at the top Free agents I would consider Baun or Nick Bolton.

Draft would be CB and impact player at RB/WR/TE.

I expect Jackson gets another look at starting center unless we can trade him.

Doesn't look like we can really cut anyone significant with all the dead money. Maybe a restructure.
