This pick has to be an early Christmas gift for Shula. This is going to be the player he deploys all around the front 7 to create havoc and generate pressure. Have a good feeling about Stewart.

Just watching his highlights and reading about him a little bit. Despite his size he just seems to find a way. I keep hearing the word "relentless" to describe him and that's pretty good.

During the press conference McVay and Snead compared having these multiple and diverse edge rushers to putting in different pitchers. A tackle gets used to a certain style and now a new guy enters with different skills and that causes problems for the lineman.

He seems to me like an impressive prospect with a huge heart and love for the game. He will be a nice added piece to a very good defensive line.

And we know the importance the Rams put on love for the game, especially if the player has some semblance of the strength needed

.

As someone who enjoyed watching the defense more than the offense last season, you gotta love this pick. Go get that qb.

As a big Michigan fan the pick probably seems odd given other needs, but I promise you, he's a stud. We have an insane amount of young guys that can get after the QB now.

man...

i'm really thinking inside linebacker...

this kids highlites are pretty impressive...

just imagine him exploding through a hole and addressing the running back with a wall of " here's a kiss for ya sweetheart,

now takethat shit back to the huddle"...

his power reminds me of verse, but his frame screams middle LB...

my 2 cents...

go rams

slo
That would be a very steep learning curve to go from an edge rusher in college straight to an inside linebacker in the pros. Off ball linebacker has become one of the toughest transitions and projections from college to the pros aside from QB.

That’s a longshot. It’d be great if it worked out. But not likely.

Great pick. If he was 2 inches higher he would have gone closer to the first. This guy can flat out play and his win rate rushing the passer was one of the best in class

I just wish we would have had more picks but so far so good

They really must like their CBs. How much weight do we think Forbes could put on in one offseason? Lol
The more I read and see on Stewart, the more I like. Hair on fire competitor.

We have always prioritized DBs very poorly (minus Ramsey), so i expect to see alot of db draft action come the following later rounds.

It looks like he has the skills to immediately replace Hoecht and be our 3rd rusher. He should get plenty of snaps.

Hopefully his cover skills will be better. Hoecht was a decent player but could not match up well in pass coverage.
