Had the verdict been not guilty/innocent I would have issue with him being allowed to play, but the fact that it was a plea deal adds some doubt about whether or not he thought it was wrong. I get that, that was probably the way he was raised, but it's 2014. He should realize by now with the way society has evolved into this protective society that leaving bruises on a child is going to get you in trouble. If his NFL career is destroyed because of it, it rests solely on him, no one else. If you were tried in a child abuse case and copped a plea, your employer would most likely "distance" themselves from you. I don't think the guy is straight up beating his kids, but this allegedly isn't the first instance of this happening. The fist case was never filed so it might not be true, it's in the news. It's just a little bothersome that the big story in this is his chance at redemption, another shot in the NFL. It's a little sickening that there was even a question to him playing in this season. I guess for the rest of his career is harsh, but this season is too soon for a plea deal.
