And I will bet any money that he came up with the whole bounty gate idea and left Greg W to take the fall for it.

I believe this as well. But I also believe Williams was fine with it... so they were both jerks IMO. But Payton is a much bigger jerk for letting Williams take the fall.

Looking forward to our next meeting.

This was a topic on Mike and Trey this morning. Golic thought it was good that Peters spoke up. Later he gave it a "Love It" on Love It or Shove It segment.

It may not matter either way if talks or not.

ED and Sharpe make a good point about having to respond to the coach. Now Peyton is in Peters' head and everyone knows it.

Really surprised by the comments in this thread honestly. If Peyton wants to talk a little trash Peters should be allowed to respond. It's not even like what he said was controversial. He said WE will be ready next time. Great response and freak Sean Peyton.

sure Peters can respond...

But that's what Payton wants - he is trying to get in his head.

Unless you think Peters plays better mad - I can't say I really know - but I'm leaning towards Peters does not play better when he is mad - more likely to melt down.

Marcus Peters Says If Asshole Face Keeps Talking Shit "They Will Have A "Nice Lil' Bowl Of Gumbo" Together..........

Unless there are upsets in the 2018 NFC playoff games preventing a Rams Saints rematch, the Marcus Peters quotes will be remembered and rehashed several times by the NFL media if they are to have a rematch.

I'm more interested and hoping the Rams rematch them again in Los Angeles.

In Louisiana, gumbo includes ingredients introduced by several cultural groups. Surviving records indicate that by 1764 African slaves in New Orleans mixed cooked okra with rice to make a meal. Gumbo could instead be a derivation of traditional French soups, particularly the fish stew bouillabaisse.

I prefer him to have a chip on his shoulder.

It’s hard to form an opinion without knowing what was said, I don’t think MP is upset about the quotes that came out in the media. This sounds like Payton was saying stuff during the game which is something you don’t really see cuz it has the potential to cause fights, Payton, like many coaches has an ego and it wouldn’t surprise me if he was talking shit during the game.

Screw being quiet. The Saints road to the playoffs is harder than the one for the Rams, and so I believe we will meet in the Coliseum. I wanna fukkin destroy their cocky @sses. Do it Marcus...

At this point I hope we meet them at the Superdome again. Silence Payton and those fans for the season.

The NFL fined Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas $30,000 for pulling a phone out from within the goal post padding and celebrating with it after scoring a touchdown on Sunday.

With his base salary of $915,361, Thomas makes $53,845 a game. The fine is more than 50 percent of his weekly pay, which means he’ll be eligible to get a reduction on appeal. The NFL typically reduces a player’s fine if it’s more than 25 percent of his weekly pay for a first offense, and more than 50 percent of his weekly pay for a second offense. Thomas had already been fined for a celebration once this season.

Officially, the NFL said Thomas’s fine was “for using the phone as a prop and having a mobile device in the bench area.” Players and coaches are not allowed to have any communication devices other than NFL-approved tablets during games.

I hate Michael Thomas more than any other Saint player. I hope that we shut him down next time we play them. Hopefully with Talib and in the playoffs.

Thomas had a huge game and a huge TD to seal the game. He knew he would get fined but decided it would be worth it in the right situation. Personally I am ok with a player celebrating over a huge play vs having the whole team go through some BS choreographed showboating. I also cannot stand having someone celebrate like they scored the game winning TD when they get a 10 yd reception for a first down!

Should the fine be doubled if they find another burner phone tucked away in the other goal post? I bet he had another one there to make sure when he made a TD. He had to have two to make sure because he didn't know which way his team would be driving.

Asshole Face smashed fire alarm in locker room before Saints win over Bengals
By Josh Katzenstein, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune

CINCINNATI — Asshole Face surely upset some people in Cincinnati by having an immaculate game plan that helped the New Orleans Saints beat the Bengals, 51-14.

Meanwhile, some people who work at Paul Brown Stadium will be upset with Payton for something that had nothing to do with the game.

Before Sunday’s game, a fire alarm sounded off throughout the stadium for about 15 minutes. Payton, keen on helping his players focus before the game, smashed one alarm in the middle of the Saints locker room.

It’s unclear if there will be any penalty for Payton damaging the alarm, but the Bengals have alerted the authorities.

“We are aware of this situation and have been in touch with the authorities, but have nothing more on it at this time,” the Bengals said in a statement to NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune.

The Saints declined comment after the game when asked about the situation. It’s unclear why the alarms were sounding throughout the stadium in the first place.

The loud distraction before the game clearly didn’t throw off the Saints on Sunday as they thoroughly dominated the Bengals to win their eighth straight game.

Payton is one of those coaches that doesn’t hold himself at “a coaches level” at times. Cocky and easy to dislike.

I don’t think that helps his team outside his own locker room.
