Cue up "The Way We Were" by Barbara Streisand and walk down memory lane....
Memories
Light the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories
Of the way we were

(1) Marcus going up the stairs to confront a fan in the stands at the Coliseum. That fan was shitting his pants and Marcus was asking him "where you from?" Peters is the real deal when it comes to you talking crap to him. You better be ready to go.

Scattered pictures
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were
(2) Deez Nuts pick 6 celebration against Oakland Raiders. That was fun and I think a $13,000 fine.

Memories
May be beautiful and yet
What's too painful to remember
We simply to choose to forget or just say F#%K em!

(3) Peters took a vicious helmet to helmet hit in the end zone after a pick 6 against the Bucs. I mean he should have been carted off and that player ejected. I don't think it was called.

Na Ramsey actually shuts people down one on one and doesn't worry about stats/picks unless they come while he's actually doing his job as a lock down man corner. Ramsey is also a selfless hard hitter in run support. Just flip that entire script written above and you have Peters - soft zone corner, blows team assignments for stats, complete run support avoiding "business decision" selfish clown

No doubt Peters and Talib are both butt heart how they were shown the exit. And I'd imagine Gurley, Cooks, and Goff all feel the same way. We are willing to bring you and and get rid of you just as quick, not really the most friendly or respectful way to end these relationships. And I think their feelings are warranted tbh, but we're in the business of winning and trying to get back to the super bowl. So players feelings will always come second. That being said, I do wonder if year after year of doing this might start to turn players and coaches off to the Rams. And part of me wonders if the max exodus of coaches the last few years has something to do with this type of culture. I think McVay does a great job of building a family vibe and respectful, fun culture around our building. But the lack of "loyalty" at times, and the indifference towards ex-star players is a little surprising to me. The Gurley and Goff exits both specifically. Do I agree they both needed to go? Yes I actually do, but still the way in which we've made all these moves I can see how it would piss people off.

I always felt Talib had heart for the game while Peters had heart for himself.

I was excited when we nabbed Peters but that soured quick as I saw him as a cancer. Great talent but a 10 cent brain.

I am VERY glad he is no longer a Ram. He can suck a big bag of dicks as far as I'm concerned.

.

We all knew Peters' game when he arrived at the Rams. He will make some big, game changing plays but also give up big plays. Unfortunately for the Rams he gave up many more big plays than the ones he made.

I think the talib injury in 2018 played with Peter's head. He is not the type to lead the dbs. He was thrust into that position and he couldn't handle that leadership role. Too busy trying to get everyone in position and not concentrating on his game. Once talib came back Peters was much better in 2018.

2019 was a total cluster fuck for Peters. He had to go, especially if the chance to get Ramsey was there.

The number 1 priority of the Rams head coach and GM is to field a winning football team. It has been proven that embracing a ‘We Not Me’ attitude among the players. If someone gets hurt it’s next man up. If someone is not contributing enough to “the win” they are replaced. That’s how the Patriots have succeeded for all those years and it’s been embraced wholeheartedly by McSnead. It ain’t always pretty or nice but it has contributed to sustaining a winning team in a very competitive NFL.

Since he has left though.... been balling pretty hard.

But yeah wouldn't take him over Ramsey.... Ramsey fits better for what we do.

I just wish that Snead could have gotten a better trade for him. Peters has been a very good player for the Ravens. He fits their scheme well. I thought getting Kenny Young and an undisclosed pick was light for a guy the Rams traded a second rounder to obtain.

Lets be real. We got traded Peters than acquired Jalen Ramsey. Or vice versa. I can't remember. Either way, we are much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much better at the position than when we had Peters. I coulda used a few more much's in there.

I will say that they kinda did Talib messed up though. Putting him on IR for ribs early on was weird and he only wanted to know upfront why he was being benched. Peters on the other hand, was good sometimes and not so good at others so the consistency wasn't there. The Rams saw an opportunity to get a younger, better CB and pulled the trigger. The approach of just being upfront with Talib and not getting better compensation for Peters are the only things that bother me about the whole ordeal. In the end, it was a smart move by the Rams as Ramsey has been great for us.

STFU Peters you dumb shit. IDC if you're a "zone" CB it's not rocket science you get burned on 1v1 coverage and always try and play it off with your 1 trick pony ass.

Peters brings attitude that is self-serving and distracting. He looks for stats.

Ramsey brings intensity that elevates a defense’s level of play. He looks for splats.

Listen I prefer Ramsey over Peters.... but fans make laugh. This board has many people who couldn't stand Ramsey before he was here - for much of the same reasons they hate peters now.

Ramsey has matured a bit... maybe. But please with the Ramsey is some kind of humble team first guy lol...

Also some fans on this board slaying Rodgers for what Ramsey did...

Yeah but Green Bay isn't Jacksonville. Ya know what i mean? It's not the same thing. Everyone wanted out of Jacksonville. Rodgers is looking for greener grass so to speak.

I’d hate Ramsey as an opponent of the Rams but the minute I heard he wanted to be traded...I got a chubby thinking the Rams might go after him.
