Hiding his head during the winning chip shot field goal. Then instead of celebrating, he hides his head and daddy (presumably) walks him off the field.

Hard pass for me, I want a stud leading the team at QB not some little bitch afraid to watch. .

One of the worst reasons I've heard for not wanting a QB.

He’s not a leader, if that’s the worst you’ve heard you haven’t been paying attention.

Okay I am not 100% agreement here and I have liked Michael Penix, since his days of playing for Tom Allen at Indiana, however, in fairness to @blackbart when they showed Penix hiding before the FG, my original reaction was: "Give me a freaking break." Just being honest of how I reacted.

I prefer Nix to Penix, but I don't think either becomes a top ten QB in the NFL. Jayden Daniels is more of a high ceiling, low floor type. I like McCarthy but is he the type that can will a team to a win when all of the pieces are not in place? He has had great offensive lines great defenses, and a great running game in college. Did he ever have to step up and carry the team?

Did you see some of the throws McCarthy made yesterday? The kid has talent. I prefer a lot of the prospects to Penix. Hasn't he had some major knee surgeries. Think 35 year old Dan Marino at 25 with less than Marino talent. Nix is intriguing. Experienced starter, which is important. Daniels has that but looks like a broomstick waiting to be snapped in two. Run a lot in the NFL and that's likely to happen. Maye looks solid but is he a smart QB? I don't know. Caleb looks like Mahomes II but I always hesitate with the "looks like" guys.

For the most part, I see a kid who has supreme pass protection who throws short of the sticks and sees benefit of YAC, though his TD pass was insanely good
Has proto type size, strong arm and nice release, so I can see why folks are fascinated by him. Pretty decent wheels too. He wouldnt be my first choice but I'm not going Stetson Bennett ballistic if they call his name from the podium either

As for Penix, I dont see that type of throwing motion/release lasting very long in the NFL.

IMO, McCarthy did that against Ohio State last year in Columbus. Overall though I don't disagree. Every QB comes with question marks, but McCarthy just seems to be different from the rest from the neck up and he won't hurt you.

He was only 12/24 in that game and the deficit he overcame was only three points to start the second half.

He did throw some nice deep balls though.

If the Rams do take a QB in round one I hope they target the one that they REALLY want, and move up to get him if need be. I don’t want a ten year QB carousel.

Whomever that quarterback is, he will have to be intelligent and a hard worker to handle McVay’s coaching and expectations.

If they aren’t crazy about any of the QBs then they shouldn’t force a pick this year. They still have Stafford and Wentz to work with. Both are likely to be better than an overdrafted guy similar to Mitch Trubiskey.

Nothing you described speaks to leadership or lack thereof.
Not being there to support your teammates through success of failure is exactly that.

He wasn’t standing with them during the kick snd he was not a part of the celebration after the kick was made.

It was all about him.

I have always thought their guy was Bo Nix, just a feeling. Auburn to start, I am sure Snead watched many Oregon games in Malibu plus I think they will like the way he interviews. However, it appears, he now will go earlier then expected, so maybe they extend Wentz and maybe they wait a few years to draft Behren Morton from Texas Tech.

I'm not a fan either. That boy's got drama written all over him. Take the lineman mid-first or a weapon. Go get a second or third tier QB from this class thereafter for the backup role and avoid all that nonsense.
