Hell, I said that right after the Niner game. In the playoffs, it's all about seeding. There are many times an advantage to be a high wildcard over the bottom division winner. You could see the pathway to the SB was easier for the Rams as a wildcard. They simply needed the Niners to do the heavy lifting then the Rams could tear their heart out in the NFC Championship game.
Usually it's better to be the top seeded wildcard than the 4th ranked division winner. If you can't get the #1 or 2 division seed then shoot for the top wildcard. Look at the right now. If the Lions win out they could be the #1 or 2 wildcard. Look at who they would play as the #1 wildcard. Tampa? They could beat them after that they could make some noise. Personally, if they make the wildcard seeding they could be dangerous in the playoffs. They were just one play away from winning in at least two games maybe 3. Had they won those games they would be fighting for that top wildcard if not the division. Next year the Lions could be poised to be a playoff contender.
Come on Old-Man (lol) be a playoff contender next year(Lions?). I think your spot on that they have a shot this season like your saying. You add The Rams #5 pick overall & there own 1st. Rd, - Philly & 9ers QB’s are not 100 either.
Exactly right about The Rams last season.I heard talk radio about QB’s.
Nick Foles for Weedle came up when Philly won it all.—Now you could add The Jags of making noise as well from the AFC? Look at Philly’s HC at the time ? Just a thought(fart).
That does bring me back to draft picks though. I think that is how you build your team. Fisher will always piss me off (Snead was a part of it) with trading for Goff when The Rams had Case & Foles who played against each other for the NFC Champ & Foles won it all.
How many draft picks?
Now how many picks for Goff?
The Rams with Stafford & Baker is a nice place to be depending on how the camp space works.
