After cuts and finalizing our roster comes to an end today I started to think about what is our biggest concern on this team now? I mean we have quality depth pieces now to go with our starters.

I’m thinking what could give us the biggest issues is QB depth.
I’ve been a big Mannion supporter in recent years but I’ve been very bisappointed this year and Allen looks terrible to.

I just seen Landry Jones just got cut, should we trade for RG3, McCarron just got traded. We need to find a solution to maintain us if Goff goes down in the coming year.

Jones just got bumped off the Steelers QB depth chart and they are loaded. Decent quality back up in Jones and he showed he can maintain during an injury to keep the team going.

Which do you think we are weakest at?

Landry Jones is an interesting option to bring in as a back up. He’s certainly stepped up before for the Steelers.

I agree backup QB is the Rams weakest position. Maybe Mannion looks better running the real O, instead of the preseason O. But I have to trust McVay and Les know what they have and what is available to pursue after cuts or via trade, and they seem to be content with Mannion.

As far as the rest of the roster, deepest the Rams have been in ages.

ILB & OLB

TE

There are 2 that don’t have a lot of production

I would agree with QB depth but I mean, most teams are pretty screwed if they lose their starting QB. I'm guessing only a 1/4 of the teams out there really have good depth at the 2nd spot at QB. So I'm gonna say OLB, really unproven guys there and while we've got bodies, I'm not sure I'm in love with anyone behind Ebukam (will he be good) and Longacre.

I will say, I think ILB looks like a surprise strength. Even if Barron can't do all 16 games, I feel really good with Wilson, Littleton, Hager, and Kiser in the middle right now.

I actually think we're fine at TE. Is it a strength, no. But I think we've got some decent pieces there.

I say OLB. We are hoping Ebukam is solid. I like Longacre, especially against the run, his injury status worries me some however. I think the Rams will be stout at OLB. But I do think we might desire a little more when it comes to pass rushing.

We have good depth at ILB with Hager, Wilson and Kiser. I'm feeling better about this unit.

I'm a little scared having nothing but rookie depth across the o-line. I'm guessing they pick up a veteran cut this weekend though and cut Allen to make way for them. But o-line depth always concerns me. All though, I am very impressed by most of our rookies so far. And Noteboom is actually making me not scared for a future without Whitworth.

Actually, I think between Higbee, Everett, and Mundt, we've got some really nice pass catching TEs.

Watching the highlights last year, I think Higbee really balled out at times and with another year in the offense, wouldn't surprise me at all for McVay to go all "death by a thousand cuts" and attack defenses from everywhere except maybe the vending machines.

Yeah, OL worries me more than anything, especially at tackle. Glad we made that our draft priority, but it would be a huge drop off if Boom had to play (even though he might be great down the road). I feel better about the interior--I think Blythe is capable of filling in with little dropoff.

The biggest unknown to me is our LB corps.

We know that teams are gonna do everything to avoid our DL and it wouldn't surprise me if Gruden, a WCO guy, doesn't spend all game attacking our LBs with screens, crossing routes and a heavy use of the TE in the seem.

If our LB corps holds up, this D could be legendary.

Who is our starter at OLB opposite Ebu?

Easley?

But honestly? My biggest worry is backup QB, although there might be a move or trade there before all the dust settles.

I gotta give Hager credit because he was solid and knew and played his assignments.

I think he can play the ILB with Barron.

I also believe the TEs will be improved. We haven't seen much of Everett because of the the shoulder injury. Earlier it was reported he was doing much better in practice. Higbee just needs a little more concentration and luck. He made some nice catches but, had the dropped covered passes. Mundt shows good hands. Their blocking is at least average with Higbee showing improvement later last year.
