Good point. And you’re right - Caleb’s running was surprisingly not a factor.

Did he go “live” in the locker room for a sec after the win? I could have sworn I saw that - and I would think that is a good sign.
Don't know but he left the game in the 3rd quarter, and did not play again from that point on.
I have no complaints with the front last night. They were disciplined and kept him from escaping out the front, just about every time he tried to run it was back and around the tackle which gives the second level time to flow to him.
He's a tough QB to get a hand on too. Squirrelly. So the missed tackles weren't a major factor. The front got the job done. And the secondary really stepped up.
Obviously they're a different back seven with Lake. Gives me a lot of hope for the last two games here.

The only reason they didn't get any sacks is because they were playing the contain game. Caleb is way more dangerous out of the pocket. I think it will be different against Sam.
D gave up 17 on the road and forced 3 turnovers. I’ll take that any day. And the last TD came on a fluke Hail Mary

Our edge guys might not get 20 sacks like some of these stars, but they play well enough to be pro-bowlers. They can pressure and sack the QB, tackle for loss, block kicks, contain, and show up when the game is on the line. I love our edge guys and hopefully Stewart makes a big leap in his second year. I can see the Rams drafting another one this year though. What round I don't know.
And he missed the sack on that long Caleb run (followed by Landman whiffing at the LOS). Not his best game.
Yeah, we were definitely mush rushing Caleb. That was clear. They were afraid of his legs. But I was still underwhelmed. Felt like the interior wasn't getting home, and the edge guys weren't collapsing the pocket consistently enough. To be fair to them, they did get after him quickly on the 4th down late when he made that miracle throw. The DL did its part there.

Nothing like a dose of happy footed Darnold to get the pass rush back on track!!
Our pass rush overall is overrated IMO.. 10 sacks between Verse/Fiske is not enough. I think Shula creates a lot of pressure with his scheme and games up front versus raw 1-on-1 pass rush wins.
We dont have any elite pass rush talent, but do have a bunch of very good versatile young players with more potential than they've shown thus far.

crazy how we went from not missing tackles to a team that can't tackle. Landman unfortunately hasn't looked as good as he did in the 1st half of the season. Maybe these guys continue to improve over our next 2 games.

It feels like Fiske has been pretty underwhelming since his injury. Hopefully, Young can play effectively through his knee issue - because to win vs. Seattle, the defensive line will need to dominate and make Darnold a liability, 2 starting pass rushers being ineffective won't cut it.
I thought the d-line was good last night. Chicago has an elite offensive line. They invested heavily in it during the off-season. Including signing former Ram Jonah Jackson, who has been great for them. The other side gets paid too. It's not an easy front to bully or get pressure on. Plus, they definitely were playing to contain Caleb much of the game, so to the untrained eye, you might think, "where's the pressure". As the night wore on, the bull rushes seemed to be getting more and more effective, pushing the pile back. Not their best outing, but a good one, especially considering the elements in the cold. We were particularly dominating on 4th down, which in large part won us the game.
We'll need to kick it up vs. Seattle. We need a dominant outing. Not just a good one.

I think the loss of Charbonnet could be huge. Need to focus on shutting down Walker. Do that and Sam will be tossing us a few balls.
