I asked AI - If the Rams trade out of their 13th pick in the NFL draft next week for a pick lower than #22, what can they expect in return? Short answer - if it's a switch for a pick around #25, they'd also get a good 2nd rounder.
  • Pick No. 13 is valued at 1,150 points
  • Pick No. 22 is valued at 780 points
  • Pick No. 25 is valued at 720 points
  • Pick No. 30 is valued at 620 points
That means the Rams would be giving up 370–530 points of value, depending on how far back they move in the round. So then you just find the value of a 2nd-rounder in that point range.
Example:
  • Pick No. 13 (1,150 points)
  • ≈ Pick No. 25 (720) + Pick No. 45 (450)
If the Rams move down past No. 22, realistic compensation falls into three buckets:
  1. Late first + early second (clean, most likely)
  2. Late first + second + late-round pick (if there’s competition)
  3. Late first + future second or third (if current-year picks are limited)
I have been eyeing a trade with Carolina at 19 who trade up for Sadiq (WR or DB)

I hope we take Cooper after that trade down and then package the pick with pick 61 to trade up for Simpson

That said, they will trade up a couple of spots and take Dulane who will be plug and play in making our secondary and defense dominant

That would be a productive draft for us.

This is what my high electric bill pays for...

I'm okay with that

I think Lemon and Tate are gone before us.
I'd say Tyson and Tate at this point. Personally, I'd take Tyson and Lemon before Tate though.

I've started thinking we will at least try something like this. If it succeeds, what a brilliant move.

That’s straight off an NFL Draft Value Chart. You don’t need AI. You can look it up. 2 considerations with you scenario;
1) using exact value the trade would get R1.25 and R2.48.
2) You need to find a trade partner. Those 2 picks are owned by different teams so you’d have to do adjust any trade negotiations.
