I am not sure many of you are aware of this, but Sam Bradford APPROVES every new Goff thread.

I was thinking of starting the "This Is Not About Goff Thread."

I figure 100 lines, single spaced in a single paragraph about the benefits of fishing with the Not About Goff, Ronco Pocket Fishing rod.
The perfect TLDR subject.

I'll take that challenge!

The problem with most Goff threads is that they have more straw men than an audition for a production of The Wizard of Oz.

Here’s what I’d guess that 90% of Rams fans think:

Jared Goff is a good QB who may not have peaked. He did some good things while here, but had limitations when faced with pressure. Trading him for Stafford was a great move because (duh) we won a Super Bowl. We wish him the best, as long as it doesn’t interfere with our aspirations.

How’d I do?

So a member Oldnotdead posted something about Goff, then some people accuse him of being an attention seeker, and others want it locked so no one can reply, because THEY feel its been talked about to much. What is wrong with you people!? The topic was very clear on what the post was about, yet you still choose to click on it and call him a "Attention seeker" and ask for it to be "locked".... I just don't get it! Why? Why be so petty? Why act like your post's and comments are so much better and worthy? I'm sure this will get removed or locked as well, or I'll be made fun of, and most likely banned for stating my unpopular opinion, but I read these comments and ask myself.... Why do people feel the need to be bullies, and try to make someone feel like their opinion or thought on a particular topic doesn't matter anymore? If You're tired about discussing or hearing about Goff, Then don't click on the topic! BE NICE, and please teach your kids or grandchildren to that the world needs more kindness, and set an example. We were all taught.... If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it at all.

Goff has been proven he wasn’t a good fit here and there have been crazy ass threads on the subject. It’s been worn out, if you want to start a debate do it in that, we don’t need a 100 threads of the same shit.

My own personal take--

I prefer it when the board is open to small, specific, limited topic threads.

For example, the idea of a "Goff thread" or a "49ers thread" are annoying, IMHO. What's the point of having a thread that's hundreds of pages long and meanders into dozens of tangents?

I wish posters created more specific, targeted, timely threads. Then the discussion is more likely to stay on track, rather than wander all over the place.

Just my personal opinion.

I Effing love this, and yes it is because of the logical fallacy in your example which I believe is intended because I have read other posts of yours.
The fallacies of Discourse should be taught in High School.

I hope Goff shuts up the haters (again) this year!
Ppl will just give all the credit to someone else like always. They're ppl who actually think the lions...yes the lions carried him, even tho the truth is without him they're not even relevant.

I think 90% is pushing it. More like 60% or probably 50%. Alot of rams fans think he was holding the rams back and that it his success was all because of mcvay.

Our general philosophy is to avoid locking threads and our track record is pretty good with this… As a moderator I expect our membership to self police, stay on track with our rules, and move on if you don’t care for a topic or individual post.

We are here to discuss stuff. We want more topics, not less.

And regarding kindness; thank you for highlighting that. At RamsOnDemand we strive for an atmosphere that mimics “pals sitting at a bar, talking about our Rams, over a drink of choice.”.

You wouldn’t be rude to a pal at a bar would you? Same standard here.

We try to keep the board clean and organized.
And we are good at this. We don’t want to be too overboard either. It’s a line we walk and we are not always perfect.

I feel the same as you regarding complaining.
If a member doesn't like the topic, then simply don't read it or reply to it. Just move on to something else.
Exactly. Not every topic is of interest for everyone. Choose the ones you like and skip the ones you don’t.

I like our division opponent threads for misc. news that needs a drop spot… but I agree with this.

We are here to have conversations. Create those topics!
