So would you do a deal for Higgins straight up for #26 or maybe for #26 and you get back a 4th?
Because Higgins has had some missed games I would need to see who is on the board at 26 to answer that one. Probably a no, but the Rams could possibly move back then trade for him as he is a legit plug 'n play fit for a spot they have not been able to fill.

The fact you gotta sign him though affects his trade value and vice versa for me. I mean even if he was an unrestricted FA it would be important to proceed carefully. He is excellent when healthy but he is no Evans.

I think Godwin would be better choice IF Rams can even afford a top FA WR. More consistent and probably cheaper. I do believe Higgins is younger though.

Prob is slot wideouts are much easier to find than sideline monsters, who usually go higher than the Rams draft. Godwin is a player I respect a great deal, but the Rams likely know they can fill that role just fine from this draft into round 3 and maybe further.

I am wondering with the draft being a bit weak at the top, does Les revert back to his old ways and offer our #1 for a player like Tee Higgins? Maybe you get a pick back as well.

I am sure they look at it as their #1 is not really a #1 the caliber of what they had last year in that draft.

So would you do a deal for Higgins straight up for #26 or maybe for #26 and you get back a 4th? Maybe even a 3rd?
Maybe the draft compensation is much lower due to the new contract he is due as teams may not want to give him the big contract. Heck maybe the Rams likely wouldn't do it for that contract reason.

However, with Stafford on board it puts more emphasis on this year and maybe 26'. So Higgins gives you a 25 yr old plug & play big time WR. Would make sense to go after it now with Stafford, Hav, and Higbee coming back.
Sorry. I should have read through the posts first. I’ll delete mine. I had the same idea. Trade the Rams first round pick, plus more (it likely takes a little more) for Higgins and sign him to a short term deal and a guarantee not to franchise him.

Sign Gesicki in Free Agency and they instantly upgrade the offense. No waiting around on receivers and TEs to develop. They’d be all set for the next two.

F them picks, all in, etc…
