Here are the 2023 officiating crews. It also shows their careers outside of football.

Interesting.

Here's a group photo from the recent Annual Meeting of NFL Officials.

Have to wonder how the crews will do under Kemp and Eck. Kemp had a lot of officials leave his crew.. Did they not get along with him? It's difficult to work with people who aren't accountable or those that have egos.

With Eck, he's was promoted to white hat (referee). Let's see how he does with getting his crew on the same page and making difficult decisions. Each referee I've worked with wants the game managed a bit differently. Fundamentals are typically the same, preferences just slightly vary.

I'm fascinated at the "real jobs" that these refs have listed.

I am going to print this out so that I can connect each ref's real job to them while I'm screaming at them through my TV screen. No joke... I'm gonna do this.

I was getting completely happy getting towards the end of that list seeing no Boger and no Vinobitch…… fuck he’s back for another season of fails.

:eyeroll::explode1:

I'm surprised more people are not in compliance and attorney fields like Been-A-Bitch. Tho he's a poor example of what a good official and leader should be. You'd think those in these positions would understand the difference between a foul (no flag just football) and a penalty (foul with direct impact on a play).

Whenever the league needed a game fixed, they assigned Vinovich to the game.

I’ll never forget Rams fans petitioning for Vinovich to not officiating a Rams playoff game.

Since then his calls have not been so blatantly bad. So did he figure he needed to do a better job, or just a better job of throwing games?

WOW! Almost all of these officials never get dirty at their full time job. How do they even relate to the trenches of football?

If I was an owner I'd have have my peers sign off on a development project in the form of an academy for US football refereeing. These asswipes make enough money to do that. Then at some point down the line you can utilize that as a pipeline by tapping the best and brightest graduates for NFL work. That gives them control. And eventually it would give the league better refs instead of having some BS shadowy recruitment program driving the bus.

Build it from the ground up using next-level shit like VR sessions where they're graded on how much they get right. Find the guys who have the endurance both mentally and physically to stay focused for 3 hours, which has to be tough.

Certainly you can get to the point where you don't have some of the low level assclowns we've been subjected to. Some of the best refs in this league are great btw. But you want that floor to be as high as possible and be set up to sustain it.

Two things

One - until they get full time officials - refereeing will be a joke

Two - Vinobitch is still out there? Dammit - he needs to retire
How the heck is Vinobitch still employed?
