Exactly. Let's see what we have. He seemed ready to me. Still some things in his game I don't love. But I don't know if they'll ever change. But he was not struggling mentally to figure out what was going on and he looked more accurate than Foles and Keenum have.
Agreed, his mechanics are slow like Foles', but his CPU might be an improvement.

I just figured they would have played harder for Stedman.

I was thinking during the game... The players still seemed to be playing hard. I didn't see any loafing or bad plays due to lack of effort.

I'm not sure that makes me feel any better though.

Yep. Some of the same issues as Foles. Doesn't have a quick release and he tends to fall away from his targets when throwing to the sidelines. Foles has the same issue. Don't know why tall guys do it. It throws off your balance and weakens your velocity.

I thought that Mannion looked decisive and got the ball out quickly and accurately. Let him play and see how he does. We need to know if we have to draft a QB with a high pick.

Besides that, the game plan and the coaching looked dreadful, again!

-All I ask of the Rams is to be competitive. If we lose a close game... fine. But a loss like today is unacceptable.
-I want to like Nick Foles... but he is awful as can be, and the OL has to be one of the worst in the league.
-Defense is on the field so damn much because the offense can't sustain drives. No Tru, Quinn, Ogletree.. our defense is really suffering. Safeties aren't playing well either..

Feel bad for Gurley and Tavon.. doing whatever they can to make something happen.

Yall mad bro?

Lol, What is there to vent about? I hope no one expected to really move the ball, or the make shift oline to block, or our qb to finally look like he did 2yrs ago. Or gurley to break a 40+yd run when everyone knows we can't pass OR run the ball up the middle with this oline, or a W in the win/loss column. Or our d to finally stop giving up little dink and dunk plays all the way to the red zone. NOPE, I didn't think none of this stuff would happen, so I ain't mad at all. I been looking forward to the offseason since the Vikings loss. I advise everyone else to look forward too

I thought so too. Even Cook had some blocks today!

I can't fault the effort of the players today.

I liked that they tried to help Foles by getting the ball out quicker but he missed some throws early that would have helped with momentum and moved the chains.

I liked the Wildcat stuff; the effort by Cignetti to freshen up the plays I liked. A little better execution keeps some drives going and Bengals O off the field.

Good news is this team does have some good young pieces. I think Robinson needs to slide inside though. When you watch him, he's a half second late against speed rushers. They just eat him up. Obviously, I'd let Cook go next year. For every good play he makes, he negates that with a missed block or a dropped pass. Quick is trash. He just doesn't win enough match-ups at his size. And his goddamn jumping to catch every pass drives me nuts. And I don't think he loves football anyway. Problem is Fisher will be back, and you know he's going to want to sign Jenkins. That's his boy right there. I think we need to use that cash on the offensive side of the ball. Gurley and Austin are keepers. Tim Barnes is a back-up center on good teams. It's a shame Brown and Saffold were injured this year. I'm not a Britt fan either but his contract is reasonable. Foles is late on everything. He doesn't seem to process info very fast. Don't have any answers for QB. Maybe try to acquire McCown from Cleveland and bring Mannion along?

Bengal defense played a solid, disciplined game too. We've tried running up the middle a million times on 3rd and short and we finally try and pitch it and they absolutely destroyed the play. They were ready for the fake screen to Tavon too.

I am still confused about the delay call late in the game on 4th down... The ref was standing over the ball while the play clock ticked down

Should have just ran the play and let the ref get crushed in the pile.
