Oddsmaker installs Seahawks as early Super Bowl 50 favorites

Have the Super Bowl 49 winner all figured out and want to look ahead to next season?

Well, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has already set odds on the winner of Super Bowl 50, which will be played on February 7, 2016 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

The usual suspects are at the top of the odds board, with Seattle a 5-1 favorite, New England the 6-1 second choice. Green Bay (7-1) and Denver (8-1) are the only other clubs less than 10-1.

The host 49ers, for the record, have opened at 25-1.

So here they are, some very early Super Bowl 50 odds on all 32 NFL clubs:

Seahawks: 5-1.

Patriots: 6-1.

Packers: 7-1.

Broncos: 8-1.

Cowboys: 12-1.

Eagles: 16-1.

Colts: 16-1.

Lions: 25-1.

Saints: 25-1.

Rams: 25-1.

49ers: 25-1.

Cardinals: 25-1.

Steelers: 25-1.

Ravens: 25-1.

Bengals: 25-1.

Texans: 30-1.

Chargers: 30-1.

Chiefs: 30-1.

Giants: 30-1.

Panthers: 30-1.

Falcons: 30-1.

Dolphins: 30-1.

Bears: 50-1.

Vikings: 50-1.

Bills: 50-1.

Browns: 50-1.

Washington: 100-1.

Jets: 100-1.

Buccaneers: 200-1.

Titans: 300-1.

Jaguars: 300-1.

Raiders: 300-1.

Only 7 teams have better odds of winning the superbowl according to the odds makers? I would take that as encouraging.

And they give us the same or better odds than 5 of this year's playoff teams.

It was 50-1 starting last year. They chopped it in half? That's shocking, really.

I think they know we are a QB away from being a contender.
I'm not so sure I'd take that bet though, the odds are probably worse than that for us actually winning.

The money will adjust those lines...

Rams, short of a big move should drop by a fair bit, I would imagine... unless both the Cards and 9ers have really poor off-seasons AND we do hit it big somehow in the draft at the QB position (no idea what that means at this time, just that Vegas would think it's a big hit)

I'll hold on to my money until they blow out to 75-1, go all in, and retire on my new found riches. All I need is the Rams to win the Super Bowl as foretold by a recurring dream.
