Developing a rookie is complex. From what I have gathered from interviews - a general tactic is to use the preseason to swamp the mind - throw everything at him - and then back off in preparation for week 1.

But let's call it what it is - he looks like the 6th man at this point and the 6th man needs to know tackle and guard.
