I’m just really disappointed that DRC didn’t keep quiet about the PI.
Tough call, we appreciate honesty with these guys but he’s been essentially bragging that it was PI, that he intended PI, and that he’s as surprised as anyone they didn’t call it....
As for Joyner, he misplayed that ball, but I don’t recall anyone else getting a catch off of him
NRC could have had two picks in that game if he just turned his damn head around. Even on the last non called PI that would have been a pick 6 if he just looked for the ball. That is one thing I don't see with our corners when in man coverage.
It would have been fitting, too, had Payton been smart enough to simply run the ball 3x and kick a field goal,
Yeah, because those calls were not made. They were obvious calls as well. I like NRC, but if that was a good game, .. Yikes. And what was he doing shooting his mouth off about the call after the game???? Emburrsin...

I hope Les Snead addresses this need in the draft. LJ is too small.
I don't understand the issue with NRC being honest. The non-call had already happened. Him playing dumb doesn't change anything.
On the non-call play, the Saints quick-snapped it before we got into position. NRC had to literally sprint across the field to cover for our guys not getting set in time. Yes, it would have been nice for him to look for the ball, but I understand why he didn't. Just watch the replay and look where he starts. He's on the other side of the field at the snap. He hauled ass to get into position to defend the pass.
Size isn't the issue. Joyner doesn't aggressively attack the ball in coverage.

.
can anybody explain why nrc took out the wr. i know he was running at full speed trying to catch up but shouldn't he be smart enough to just get his body between the ball and the wr without knocking him the freak out? it would have to be a miraculous catch to grab it through nrc.

Joyner didn't need to play dumb or be dishonest, but neither did he need to pour fuel on a media fire. That's just bad judgment.
