Just trust me. Who else drafted like 5 or 6 Players we drafted last year in a mock the day of the draft? I’m just warming up baby!
Did you get that many right?
Memento.. I think.. nailed the Whittington pick.

I think Boom had a pretty serious injury after '21.
And he seems the same size as when he was drafted?
He should be more muscular by now.

He seems to have straight ahead speed, as on the screen to Puka, but his lateral movement is bad.

At this point, if Havs can't go, I think it's McClendon time and that doesn't seem to turn out well either.
Agreed. I've been his biggest critic here from day one. He's terrible at blocking. In space. He's good straight up and that's it. So you hit the nail on the head.

He also struggles with power. Speed rushers didn't give him much trouble in the past, but he can apparently add that to his list of weaknesses.

Thats the way it looks. Maybe he is butt hurt about getting beat out by Jackson is playing the slow quit. He plays like I worked the last 3 months before I was retiring.
Yeah, that's what I am doing now...hoping to retire in the next year or get laid off and then retire.

I get that Noteboom is not a good player and that he cost us a lot in the running game, but for now, he’s still a Ram, and therefore, the whole “Notebum” and “Noteboob” stuff needs to stop. Or do we need a refresher on the rule that specifically states that we are not to use derogatory insults towards the Rams and members of the coaching staff and/or the front office?

Critique is absolutely fine and encouraged; flat-out insults towards players of our team is not and has never been. The rules have been pretty clear that while other boards may do that, this is not one of them.

This guy deserves his own thread tonight.

He nearly single-handedly killed the offense tonight.

I'd trade him for a sleeve of used pinnacle golf balls.
It's been every damn game for him. Our offense didn't start to click until we got our best 5 going. Insert Boom back in there and it's a total shit show once again.

The dude is fucking bad. BAD. Like how bad is McClendon if he can't get in there over him bad. Cut his ass now bad.

I was taught not to criticize someone if I cant do better myself

I'll just leave that here
If fans subscribed to that shit nobody would have anything to talk about. It would be a circle of toxic positivity and campfire songs with everyone jerkin each other off. Fuuuuck that. :laugh3:

Noteboom’s best season was when Whitworth took him under his wing. He practiced with him, lifted with him and coached him. Whit is gone and Joe returned to his old self.
Really disappointing. All the talent. None of the passion.

Noteboom got to his contract season, played like a franchise left tackle, got paid, and stopped giving AF.
At the time he got paid, he had done all that was asked:
He studied and improved under Whitworth.
He filled in more than adequately when asked to start.
He looked the part.

The Rams saw a guy who was drafted to replace Whitworth when the time came. Noteboom had some notable games/performances when SPOT STARTING.

What the Rams and most of us here (myself included) didn’t realize was Noteboom was never gonna be more than a SPOT STARTER.

He has played his best at LT.
He has stunk at LG and RT.
He is a backup.
He has gotten worse due to his glass frame constantly breaking down.
His time as a Ram cannot continue past this season.

Noteboom needs to go for sure.

That said, our offense with our best 5 hasn't clicked this year except for the Bills game.

We've had the best 5 for 8 games. They are averaging 21.5 over that span and if you take away the one Bill's game outlier, they're averaging 18 points per game. It's anemic!

We've got to look beyond NB for reasons why.

Noteboom hasn’t gotten better, since his extension, which is disappointing.

Speaking for myself for sure… A lot of us thought his first extension was smart, but he just hasn’t gotten better like the trajectory suggested he would.

@20hrswk I tend to see the same, he’s not built his strength… and too mushy.

Hav makes the difference in the run game. We already knew Noteboom sucks.

Can someone change the OP title to Noteboob

Notebum will probably not be on this team next season
Guys. I get it. I really do. But keep your comments to how a player played without calling him names or saying he sucks, etc...

This has never been allowed here and never will be.

That said, I really hope we get swing tackle figured out and wouldn't mind getting an upgrade at LT. It seems painfully obvious that Note is not the answer nor is McClendon.

My comment in the chat room went something along the lines of:

I'll call anybody a liar who says Boom never put any good games/tape out there starting for the Rams. But now when he's rarely healthy he's just not good and hopefully this game is his last in a Rams uniform.

P.s. not so sure he can handle speed rushers either based on his performance last night.

Other than that he’s a damn good OT.
