We didn't draft a QB (but then again, we didn't need one) or have 5 picks in the first 2 rounds, so we're not what everybody wants to hear about. Jacksonville had an awesome draft so that'll make them what, 7-9? The Jets? The Jets are the Jets. In 1968, Namath sold their soul to the devil behind their back and they haven't been the same since. The niners? Chicago? The Patriots? I stopped taking stock in Cowherd's opinion when he called Blythe a "top 10 center". What's the saying? That's entertainment!!And every year the Rams' FA losses/traded/cut players etc amounts to negligible. I mean really, Rodger Saffold is IMO the only loss that has had any significant negative impact in the last several years.
I like Cowherd, but the media does what they do. I listen to alot of national and local sports talk radio, and SF is the media focus right now. Trey Lance has been getting more pub than the "sure fire once in a generation talent #1 overall pick," Trevor Lawrence.
That guy was such a half-assed pick that McVay and Snead drafted two of those guys this year.He emphasized the addition of Gerald Everett as a big move.
I almost wrecked when I heard him say that about Blythe. That's entertainment!!
My pick for the teams who are going to be in the final 8 next year? Buffalo, Cleveland, Kansas City and Baltimore (or San Diego); Green Bay, Tampa, the Rams and maybe Dallas. Talk about all those other teams now because when it really counts, they'll be talking about the Rams.
This^^^If you want to see where the respect really lies then look at what Vegas thinks. None of these talking heads have to put their money where their mouths are.
Last I checked, Vegas had the Rams as clear favourites for the division.
Well the Hags did win the division so I guess you gotta give em that and if all the injured niners come back and IF Garapalo is able to stay off the injury list they should be tough too. The Rams are a wild card, can Stafford make defenses fearful of the ram offense again. Will the jet sweep and the deep ball return? I think McVay hears all the talk about Shanny and is ready to really show his vision of offense after a couple down years.
I think #8 is quite fair, we lost important players on defense, we're not sure what we have at OLine and we lost in the divisional round last year. SF is expected to bounce back and he's a Seattle fan so he always pushes them a bit.
Cowherd is my favorite, he always has an interesting take and he likes the Rams organization. If it clicks with Stafford we'll go up the ranking very fast I think.
I was going to post the same thing. I think Colin is one of the best at what he does, but at the end of the day, he is a Seattle homer, an any list this early in the season is a moot point at best.Keep in mind that Cowherd is a former Sheattle-ite. He went on to be the Sports guy on Portland's NBC affiliate. He will always be tainted by that lens.
I lived in Portland metro for a year or two when he came to work there, but I worked my ass off at the time and never knew about him until much later when I lived in Kansas... As for the rankings.Keep in mind that Cowherd is a former Sheattle-ite. He went on to be the Sports guy on Portland's NBC affiliate. He will always be tainted by that lens.
The Eagles had the Dream Team in 2015, filled with free agents. They sucked.Whiners might have the most complete roster in the division for now. If Jimmy G can stay healthy (spoiler: he can't) that team will easily make the playoffs. They pick high every other year due to taking a season off because of injuries and just stack talent.
Seattle will be in contention as long as they have Wilson. Period.
I dont mind the Rams at #8. The team has to prove they're better.
Arizona straight up getting no respect for bringing in the best free agents of 2013.
