I enjoy listening to Cowherd -- unlike others he will admit when he's wrong -- and he will this time when we win the division.

GO RAMS !!

I have no issue with the Rams at 8.
I have no issue with SF or Seattle being favored to win the NFC West.
I am not going to be surprised when some pick the Rams to finish last in the division.
I understand it
But, so much comes down to coaching and execution.
See our defense....described by most experts as two stars and a bunch of JAGs.....that ended up number 1 in the league.

These so called experts don't even know the teams they are judging. The Rams already had the replacements for the guys they lost on the team. This team has AD & Ramsey both HOF locks and Stafford is one Super Bowl win from being one. How many teams have 3 guys like that on the roster at the same time? I don't even listen to talking heads who have their own agendas.

Kinda like Kiper who is an outright fraud and promotes players who have agents that are "close" to Mel. He's a joke LMFAO The rest aren't much better.

I have to say, our draft was like a "mad scientist" was running the board. Hey, as long as we win, in McSnead we trust!

And every year the Rams' FA losses/traded/cut players etc amounts to negligible. I mean really, Rodger Saffold is IMO the only loss that has had any significant negative impact in the last several years.

I like Cowherd, but the media does what they do. I listen to alot of national and local sports talk radio, and SF is the media focus right now. Trey Lance has been getting more pub than the "sure fire once in a generation talent #1 overall pick," Trevor Lawrence.
We didn't draft a QB (but then again, we didn't need one) or have 5 picks in the first 2 rounds, so we're not what everybody wants to hear about. Jacksonville had an awesome draft so that'll make them what, 7-9? The Jets? The Jets are the Jets. In 1968, Namath sold their soul to the devil behind their back and they haven't been the same since. The niners? Chicago? The Patriots? I stopped taking stock in Cowherd's opinion when he called Blythe a "top 10 center". What's the saying? That's entertainment!!

My pick for the teams who are going to be in the final 8 next year? Buffalo, Cleveland, Kansas City and Baltimore (or San Diego); Green Bay, Tampa, the Rams and maybe Dallas. Talk about all those other teams now because when it really counts, they'll be talking about the Rams.

Well the Hags did win the division so I guess you gotta give em that and if all the injured niners come back and IF Garapalo is able to stay off the injury list they should be tough too. The Rams are a wild card, can Stafford make defenses fearful of the ram offense again. Will the jet sweep and the deep ball return? I think McVay hears all the talk about Shanny and is ready to really show his vision of offense after a couple down years.

I almost wrecked when I heard him say that about Blythe.
Cowherd has a blind spot about the Hags, he says they resolved Russell’s concerns but that remains to be seen. Part of their oline issues are Wilson holding the ball. Mobile qbs are all the rage but getting the ball out on time has kept Brady in the league all this time, it’s an underappreciated skill, a guy his size isn’t going to want to stand in the pocket all day.

Best division in football and what’s not to say he’s right?

Sheattle won the division last year.

Whiners always beat us.

Now I think Trey Lance is Wentz 2.0. It’s going to be funny when he goes down in flames as ‘ the savior’ like Jimmy G String did.

If you want to see where the respect really lies then look at what Vegas thinks. None of these talking heads have to put their money where their mouths are.

Last I checked, Vegas had the Rams as clear favourites for the division.

Keep in mind that Cowherd is a former Sheattle-ite. He went on to be the Sports guy on Portland's NBC affiliate. He will always be tainted by that lens.

Well on Goff’s behalf it seems even more so know then with Fisher. There has always been a anew OC.In 2021 it is different with O’Connell going into his 2nd season as OC.Waldron will be with the Hags.
Before most Ram Fans they wanted to blame the O”Line.I think The Rams offense was Top 10 last season.Last season special teams was a mess.Bones first season away.
I like the New concept this season & I see it already taking place.

I think #8 is quite fair, we lost important players on defense, we're not sure what we have at OLine and we lost in the divisional round last year. SF is expected to bounce back and he's a Seattle fan so he always pushes them a bit.
Cowherd is my favorite, he always has an interesting take and he likes the Rams organization. If it clicks with Stafford we'll go up the ranking very fast I think.

We were a top 8 team last year and Cowherd believes we upgraded at QB.

Post draft, JJ is the only real loss on defense.

I know he doesn't know the ins and outs of our roster, but 8 is pretty disrespectful to me. I'd be more okay with it if SF and Seattle were behind us

I was going to post the same thing. I think Colin is one of the best at what he does, but at the end of the day, he is a Seattle homer, an any list this early in the season is a moot point at best.

I lived in Portland metro for a year or two when he came to work there, but I worked my ass off at the time and never knew about him until much later when I lived in Kansas... As for the rankings.
*McVay has never lost to the Cardinals as the Rams HC. Ever.
*We have the SheHawks number. Since 2018, the Rams are 5-2 against them.
*49ers are a pain in my ass. They have had OUR number and I think McVay finally went after Goff over his performance against them last season (fair or not).
BUT....
I truly believe that Matthew Stafford is a game changer for us. He is the guy, but he isn't ALONE. He has a creative offensive mind (McVay) and I think we are about to see something special and I hope that he ends up with more Super Bowl wins than Rodgers. If so, he'll be the most successful QB in Rams history.

Whiners might have the most complete roster in the division for now. If Jimmy G can stay healthy (spoiler: he can't) that team will easily make the playoffs. They pick high every other year due to taking a season off because of injuries and just stack talent.

Seattle will be in contention as long as they have Wilson. Period.

I dont mind the Rams at #8. The team has to prove they're better.

Arizona straight up getting no respect for bringing in the best free agents of 2013.

I am definitely interested to see what Stafford can bring to the Rams with these new toys he has.

Atwell may have been picked too high but I can see him making one huge play each game.

He won't start but I can see him with 10 plays a game or so and 1 of them will be big especially with Stafford's ability to throw deep.

But picking a gadget guy at 57 is definitely too high.

In addition, I just hope our offensive line holds up a little bit better on those deep plays. However, Stafford's mobility should help out a lot on that regard.

The Eagles had the Dream Team in 2015, filled with free agents. They sucked.
