This seems to work well for us at times (and other teams).

I feel like we should go to this more, not even just when the offense is struggling but for entire drives even early in the game.

Thoughts?
It would make sense when you're trying to keep the existing defensive personnel group on the field to try and create a mismatch with your next play call.

Absolutely agree.
I don’t think McVay will do it though, too much Mike Martz (stubborn) in him.
 
Yes and roll Stafford out more to buy another second or 2.
I feel like defenses are kind of zoned in on that play more and more. The Stafford play action boot roll out. There’s usually a defender running free at him and he ends up just checking down quickly to avoid disaster.

I have nothing to back that up. Just an observation.
