I watched but, though he dismissed the Hags at home and the fact that both teams played the Chargers and Broncos with similar results. KC looked great against the Bungels. Not sure if they are any good. It's good TV debate that really doesn't matter. Either way as I said before let's see what happens in Mexico.

Based on what?

Goff has 2130 yards, only 93 less than Mahomes, and Mahomes has a whopping 33 more attempts.

Completion % - Goff 69.7% to 64.9% for Mahomes

YPA - Goff 9.77 versus 8.86 for Mahomes.

Are we basing this solely on TD's? Might I remind everyone that Gurley has 11 TD on the ground.
Kareem Hunt has 5 on the ground. It does make a difference. Considering Mahomes has 3 or 4 “passing” touchdowns that we're flipped a foot in front of him.

Good stats. The Rams have scored in different ways. We don’t have to tear down Mahomes to elevate Goff, but this “Mahomes is superior” narrative gets stripped away when you look at these numbers.

I'm with a couple people above in that I cannot knock what the Chiefs are and have done. I honestly think they've proven more than we have from an opposition standpoint. And I really enjoy watching them play. I have a lot of "wow, how good are these guys" moments just as I do the our team. I think it's kind of funny that they believe the Chiefs special teams is not only better than the Rams but by a large margin. That is just flat wrong. Is their offense more explosive? I'd say yes. But by a narrow margin. Is our defense better? I'd say yes by a larger margin. Ultimately, I think if we faced off on a neutral sight 10 times, it'd likely be split. They are as close of an AFC doppleganger as they get. I'm honestly excited to see us face them in 3 weeks. Whether we win or lose, I think it's going to be an exciting battle. Go Rams!
More to the point:
Offense: Rams (2) Chiefs (3)
Defense: Rams (7) Chiefs (dead freaking last!!)

Previous opponent rankings:
Offense: Niners (21) Bengals (25)
Defense Niners (19) Bengals (would be dead last, but for the pathetic Chiefs!!!)

So how is it that the Chief win is being regarded as so impressive? Bengals are a bit overrated.

I just looked up two stats on special teams: Punting and Punt Returns and yes KC is on top of both. Some crazy numbers like 19 yard punt return average and 48 net yards.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/punting/sort/netAvgPuntYards

Hekker is just below 40 Net but, he has 2 more inside the 20. KC 16 punts and LA 15 punts. Both are good but, KC has some staggering numbers. Hekker has been punting inside the 50 a lot. That should change with JZ back.

These stats can be deceiving. It’s been 7 games. We have the best special teams in the league over the past few years.

Exactly, the Chief wins are not as impressive as they are being reported. The Niners and Broncos gave the Chiefs a better game than they did the Rams, and Chargers about the same.

The Vikes and Seahawks in Seattle are both tough games for the Rams, along with the Chargers.

Though they had to face the Niners with JimmyG, the Chiefs have beat overrated Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, and a offense-less Jaguar team. And they lost to the Cheats.

Yawn.

Actually, Nick Wright has been propping up Goff all season. And here he isn’t wrong. He said Mahomes has been better than Goff so far this year, but Goff has also been excellent. And if we look at the stats, Mahomes has been the best QB in the league. All of that can change, and I personally think Jared Goff is a top 10 QB in this league now, hands down, but Mahomes has been impressive to say the least.

Goff has Mahomes beat in yards per pass, completion percentage and when you break down the interceptions Goff only has a few legit ones compared to Mahomes.

People look at the TD pass numbers and rank Mahomes ahead of Goff based on that but that is shortsighted. Gurley and the Oline are so strong around the goaline that Mcvay elects to have Gurley run it in the vast majority of the time.

Goff could easily have 20 TD passes if mcvay called pass plays instead of the easy Gurley TD’s.

Mahomes style of play doesn’t scale well for a long Career and he is no where near as accurate as Goff in the pocket.

Someone that says Mahomes has been better than Goff doesn’t watch the games close enough.

The Chiefs are like a race car that will eventually careen out of control and hit a wall. Mahomes is fun to watch but reckless. One day that will cost the Chiefs if he gets injured.

The Rams are like a slow moving tank crushing anything that gets in its way. Jared Goff is the anti-Mahomes. Cool, calm and with smooth precision(except for the occasional glitch).

I would be more impressed if their defense didn’t blow....Hopefully Talib will be ready by that time. I wouldn’t want him to miss that beat down.

Supposedly, the Chiefs defense has slowly improved. I don't know if it is just because of lesser competition or for real. They didn't stop N.E.

Greenie called the Rams a paper tiger....I lost so much respect for him as any sort of knowledgeable sports person when he said that. He's an east coast sports homer, I guess.

that line of thinking is too complex for the simpletons that make up a majority of talking heads on tv.

I can't really fault anyone for thinking KC is the better team at this point. To dismiss what they are doing would be a mistake. That will all be settled in 3 weeks regardless. Until it is settled again at the end of the year.

Andy Reid and the post season. Don't see the end of the year in the picture.
