I'm guessing at this point you could murder someone and still be suspended fewer games than Zeke.
Honestly at this point no matter what Goodell does somebody is mad. But that the players fault for not changing the last chance to take some power from him.

Hitting is part of the game.

He targeted a defenseless player. That's not going to fly when your a player who delivers dirty hits like he does.

That hit was not a football play. He goes for knees, he goes for headshots to players who can't avoid them, and he's never going to learn how to hit someone cleanly.

I don't think he will either. I think he is a guy that just likes to cheap shot guys sometimes.

Had to watch it again and the throw is like 30 yards downfield. Just no reason for this play. IMO.

The guy is out of control and has been for a lont time, 5 games will give him time to think.

As I've said before this isn't dirty but it's absolutely and undeniably illegal and it's unnecessary!

It's dirty to whack a guy at least partially in the head when both you and he are well out of the play and he isn't looking. It's just a cheap shot all the way.

Honestly at this point no matter what Goodell does somebody is mad.

He had nothing to do with the suspension, it went to an independent panel paid for by the NFL and the NFLPA.

Being thrown in the same direction means nothing to this or him. It's almost like targeting in college. Seems obvious he just wanted to hit someone. How is he playing the ball ? He isn't and unfortunately his history got him 5 games. He's dirty and has a history of it.
When do you see anyone else doing something like this without the ball at least being close to the guy he's hitting ..
Thanx....dirty player...wow...check...he likes to hit people...sounds like a MLB to me...never met one that didn't. I wanna also thank OleSchool for the rules link
There is a rule...that any receiver, running less than 5 yards downfield, can be given a "chuck" or "bump" or "engaged"...if the ball isn't in the air..
ARTICLE 1. LEGAL CONTACT WITHIN FIVE YARDS
Within the area five yards beyond the line of scrimmage, a defensive player may chuck an eligible receiver in front of him. The defender is allowed to maintain continuous and unbroken contact within the five-yard zone, so long as the receiver has not moved beyond a point that is even with the defender
.That's also covered in Section 5
http://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/2017-nfl-rulebook/#section-5-chucking

Forcibly hitting the defenseless player with the helmet, face mask, forearm or shoulder in the head or neck area
didn't happen. no contact with head or neck

Burfect doing this didn't help his team on that play
Intimidation is huge....not only will it effect this game....but in later games...teams will operate cautiously in the middle of the Bengals defense.

Again thanks for the link

Yeah. Zeke is just douchey.

I think he took that "grab them by the (crotch area)" thing too literal.

He is basically a caveman.

ROFL you're taking this to new levels even for you.

First off from the video it's impossible to tell if that was within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage because the video starts after the snap.

Secondly under no definition of the term is launching your shoulders to a guys chest/face a chuck.

Thirdly read and quote the full rule that I linked and get back to me. Hint there's a line that you neglected to quote that says even if the contact happens below the neck.

Also the ball is in the air and if you make contact with a player while the ball is in the air I believe that's also a penalty since it wasn't tipped.

Lastly he can intimidate all he wants as long as he keeps getting 15 yard penalties he's hurting his team and not. You're out of your mind thinking this isn't a penalty! But what I find funniest of all is this is text book what the PLAYERS want to eliminate as this is a dangerous and unnecessary hit that leads to head injuries. Yet in your book it's ok.

Pretty sure decleating another player isn't a legal chuck man. Watch the play again it's totally not necessary.

Very true. I wouldn't be surprised if there's not a season in 2020 while they hash out the new CBA.
