2020 was a Tough Year For All.

Reflecting back though & entering The NFL 2021 Draft in Cleveland you can just see the changes.Just The NFL draft starting on Thursday & now saying it’s Normal ?

Here is my question though after a Rules change I didn’t keep up on.
—My question being will this be a New thing again in 2021 - rule of 55 game day?

I personally Absolutely LOVE this concept!! First off Players back in the day had to hold down real jobs & still play in The NFL.This just gives players who have worked there LIFETIME to Achieve The Highest Goal in one of The Best Sports in The World.

Football is a sport where it is not if you get hurt ,but rather when. There is the PUP rule which in some ways SUCKS!!! I’m for BOTH the PLAYERS & THE TEAMS.It is a win win CHANGE!!!

Have 55 roster spots on game day helps both The Players & teams because it helps PROTECT from INJURIES. Then as well gives A Player a chance to get a(MLB Terms) Cup of Coffee.
This also helps team & player development which helps both the organization & players.Making it better for NFL teams that actually care about the person & relationships built. The better teams prosper more
with the larger rosters.

Kevin Demoff & Stan Kronke really try to take care of there players by always FIGHTING for Cap space. If the MLB rule was in place for paying to go over the Cap would be AWESOME as a RAMS FAN.

I’ve been around before The Sack Rule & Free Agency. Looking back at say The Niners & Rams.Just go back to Ownerships. EDDIE D “. Really one of The Beat Ever. Then before that we could talk Charlie Rosenbloom .

Hacksaw Reynolds.
Orlando Pace
JL55

F” Chris Long for making it happen with the cheaters. Low class Kraft & his Tampa bay or Florida dressing.

George Steinbrenner & Charlie Finaly were of 2 different views. As a Lakers Fan I love Jenie Buss.Angel & Rams Fan Georgia & Jackie ? I think they all won it all though ?

Marge & Pete Rose . Still think Pete Rose deserves to be in the HOF. Charlie Hustle was a name he earned on the field as well as his Most Hits record.

Shoeless Joe Jackson, yes. There's absolutely no evidence that he threw the game; Landis just wanted to make a brutal example.

Rose is another story; he bet on baseball as a player and as a manager. No fucking way does he deserve the HOF.

On another note (and please, for the love of fucking fate, don't make this political), Schilling should've made the Hall. If violent racists like Cobb made the Hall, Schilling should be in.

I don’t give two squirts of piss (to quote Eminem) about what players do off the field.
The HOF is about their accomplishments on the field/court.
The HOFs should not another place for the morality police to ruin with entitled, moronic, revisionist bullshit.
Roses’ indiscretions happened on the field however or at least certainly may have impacted the outcome of games.
He’s not getting in or shouldn’t.

You might want to research the claim against Ty Cobb.

Bet on baseball? yes. However, repeated investigations have showed he only ever bet on himself.

Also, multiple forensic analyses have shown that Rose in no way altered his managing style or decisions based on any bets placed. He didn't overuse the bullpen or force starters to pitch longer or increase the number of pinch hitters.

So if the heart of the rule is that they want the integrity of the game maintained AND they now have scientific proof that Rose never violated the integrity of the game (no game was played any differently whether bets were placed or not, thus no altered outcomes), then it's a moot point.

Also, the Commish was willing to put him on a path to reinstatement which meant that if he'd jumped through hoops, they'd let him in... and Rose eventually gave up the "apology tour" and baseball just sat back only too happy to say, "see, he doesn't want it"

It's all bullshit.

MLB can't seriously keep Rose out when his betting never affected a single game and be trying to figure out how to get all the blatant steroid users IN to the HoF.

Baseball was the first love of my life and I left her long ago for this capricious shit. Well, that and the strike zone was a myth for decades... The first time I saw that Fox cam with the strike zone outlined... I laughed out loud... The way the umps bitched and moaned about it... only to watch how they were calling strikes a full 6 inches out of the zone or NOT calling strikes clearly in... yeah...

Anyway, respectfully disagree about Rose.

I dunno about Schilling. If he was just a racist asshole, then yeah, he should get in because being a good person was never a requirement before and Ty Cobb is all you need to say on that. But didn't he also use PEDs?

Cuz that's the line for me. PEDs are even worse in baseball because they use them to increase recovery and the 162 game slog is part of the difficulty of the game. We saw that with Bonds. Dude hit everything a mile. They start testing him after his suspension and all of a sudden, he barely plays in 60 games and doesn't hit HRs, extra base hits or even overall batting percentage even close to before?

In football, there are plenty of examples of PEDs actually causing more harm than good (torn ligaments and all sorts of issues which further create strain between muscles and tendons)

The Rams are moving into Hollywood Park. This maybe a bad example. Had a whole spiel on Rose, but I’ll keep it to The NFL & Rams. That said,I’ll still say Pete Rose deserves to get in.Then again What about Bruuuuce ?
Dick Vermeil? Just curious

Had a Old Friend- actually have his ashes over my fire place right now.
He was a Forest Gump.Never wrote a book,but wanted to.It would have been perfect.THE 1900’man.
He was a Big Sports Fan.He won a property in Maryland. Was thinking Georgia for a minute. Anyway be use to take the Bus to Hollywood Park.He also went to Santa Anita, but I don’t recall Seabiscuit coming out of retirement. Getting off track.Dad had a Horse on pony track that won a Quarter Horse Race at Hollywood Park that changed his life.Mine as well I guess.
My point was that Sammy played Semi Pro baseball & had a tryout with Ty Cobb.He gave up the game once Cobb told him he would be nothing more than a Banjo Hitter.

Yes.
I’m aware who Bruce is.....I’m not sure how he or Vermeil relate to the discussion about the HOFs and people like Rose with character flaws that may keep them out.
