I'm old enough ( just barely ) ,

but no , I don't remember that first show , but I do remember watching the original cast and Phyllis George becoming a house hold name.............lol

[Classic Rams]

I wasn't into the NFL until the 1975 playoffs, but I still experienced the NFL Today in its first season with Brent-Irv- Phyllis-Jimmy. Re-watching classic games from that postseason it's odd to hear their classic music, which had become the beginning theme the next year, being played in different spots throughout the telecast.

I miss those early days of just meat and potatoes pre game shows, and meat and potatoes ESPN Sunday night sportscenter highlights.


Yeah there’s more content now but most of it resembles this…

Man I love the old CBS team, that meant Rams highlights since they were the NFC network
