5. Los Angeles Rams

Last Week's Ranking: 7

It's amazing what Sean McVay and his schemes have done for the Los Angeles Rams offense. When I watch film each week, I can't believe how many wide-open receivers I see for L.A. I've never seen anything like it. It's helped Jared Goff become the quarterback the Rams thought they were getting when they drafted him first overall.

The Rams defense isn't quite as strong as it has been in years past, but there's talent there. Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips is always going to call a smart game, and he's going to have the defense in position to make big plays.

Creating big plays is more important than limiting opposing production because L.A. has the league's top scoring offense. When you're averaging nearly 33 points per game like the Rams are, a timely turnover or sack more than makes up for a ton of surrendered rushing yardage—which is the defense's biggest weakness.

The Rams are a tough matchup for almost anyone. They're one of the best teams in the NFL, plain and simple, and I have a feeling they're going to make some noise in the postseason.

Below is the NFL Week 10 power rankings with team records.

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (8-1)
  2. New England Patriots (6-2)
  3. New Orleans Saints (6-2)
  4. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2)
  5. L.A. Rams (6-2)
  6. Dallas Cowboys (5-3)
  7. Minnesota Vikings (6-2)
  8. Kansas City Chiefs (6-3)
  9. Carolina Panthers (6-3)
  10. Seattle Seahawks (5-3)
The Los Angeles Rams, led by quarterback Jared Goff and running back Todd Gurley have continued to look good so far this season too. They took down the struggling New York Giants 51-17 on Sunday to move to 6-2 for the season and stay on top of their division.

This is garbage. Actually, the disrespect is getting a bit old. Sure, let the Eagles be number 1. But Los Ramos have no business behind any of those 6-2 teams.

Los Ramos 2017 are only the 11th team in NFL history to have defeated 3 teams by 30 or more points in the first 8 games of the season.

We lead the league in points.

We lead the league in point differential.

We are the most complete team in the league.

#5 is a joke.

This nonsense about the Ram defense shows a lack of fundamental knowledge.

16th in yards allowed, 9th in points. 5th best in comp % allowed. 4th in passer rating allowed.

Remember the SI cover with Warner et al?
Think that was week 8.
Media was simply STILL not buying the Rams.
Don’t mind the Eagles at 1, but the Saints above the Rams?
Seriously?

FIFY

Aside from that I'm fine with the rankings, don't worry much about them but let teams take us lightly if they do like some pundits do.

I think I'm bothered more by him having the Steelers above the Rams -- those 2 Steelers losses are to the Bears (that alone should mean automatic banishment from the top 5) and a good old-fashioned ass-whooping by the Jags (where they picked off Worthlessberger 5 times).

My favorite part of this clip is the reaction of Giants CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. That open-armed "WTF?!?" gesture followed by him angrily ripping off his chin strap.

Yeah he was pretty pissed at Eli Apple. That secondary either had no clue wtf they were doing most of that game or they lacked motivation because the team is a train wreck. It was a little bit of both I think but on that play Apple definitely had no clue wtf he was supposed to do.

Seahawks above us in ESPN still. Overall still underrated in some in my opinion. But fuck it. We get to play these teams in the next few weeks.

Riding high
Los Angeles Rams

Is there anyone left who still doubts the Rams? With just three more wins, the team will secure a winning season for the first time since Torry Holt and Marshall Faulk were still on the squad back in 2003.

The latest win was a 51-17 smackdown of the Giants with 473 yards of total offense. Jared Goffthrew four touchdown passes and Todd Gurley ran for two, making for the first six-touchdown game for the Rams since 2014. They have to face some tough defenses still on the schedule, but Los Angeles looks like a nightmare to stop.

3. Los Angeles Rams
The biggest riser of the week. The Rams are well-coached, great on the road and getting better by the week. This is a playoff team.

7. Los Angeles Rams
2017 record: 6-2

Preseason ranking: 27. The biggest risers since the preseason edition of our rankings are the Rams, who lead the NFL in scoring with 32.9 points per game. How good has the offense been? They've scored 40 points three times this season. The last time the Rams did that in a season was in 2001, when they reached Super Bowl XXXVI.

5 - Los Angeles Rams - L.A. owns the best point differential in the NFL at +108. Sean McVay has clearly done a great job with Jared Goff and that offense.

4. Los Angeles Rams: The Rams now lead the NFC West after blowing out the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. L.A. became the 11th team in NFL history to post three wins by a margin of 30 or more points in a single season. Seven of those previous 10 teams reached the Super Bowl.

4. Rams: The guy who reminds many of Jon Gruden is having the same impact Gruden had on the 2002 Bucs.

Don't care about power rankings as long as we're winning-- most of the media is clueless so it doesn't bother me. But I can see us being anywhere from 1-4 being justified. I think you gotta have a top four made up of Eagles-Saints-Patriots-Rams somehow tho. Those are the best teams in the league right now, no doubt.

So the Rams literally destroy a NY Giants team and the Hawks LOSE...Rams are alone atop the NFC West, and what does Mike Sando's ESPN DNA Rifle Suckers say?
6. Hawks (due to RW WITH a loss, position, unchanged)
7. Rams (51 point beat down of the GMen, Goff throws for 4 TD's in a WIN)

I hate him and them.
