Yeah, minor player who is on IR but have been waiting for this to rear its ugly head. At least the NFL isn't screwing around and suspended for more than a season. Course, being a no name player it wasn't hard for them to do I'm sure. See what happens when a bigger name gets caught.... or a ref.

Yea. Players and staff shouldn’t be allowed to bet on games. Gonna get worse for sure.

But hey. It’s Ok for the owners to have companies that promote gambling LOL

This is the same dude who jumped out of a 2nd floor window to save his nephew who was drowning a few years ago. Then it turned out he lied about the whole incident.

So the league doesn't put up with a player gambling and takes a hard stance to prove they are legitimate. But when a team cheats by filming other teams, they burn the tapes and slap their wrists. When the refs are calling games that favor one side over the other, they say "oops, our bad". Plus they are putting a team in Vegas.

It's all so comical. Nothing will change until fans revolt.

Hey my friend - please stop with the Vegas crap. You are talking through your asshole.
Either STFU, or please explain why a team in Las Vegas is an issue.

Funny thing is it probably isn't guys like him that really hurt the league. It's the guys who give inside information to the betting industry and help them squeeze more cash out of the average Joe. Just my opinion here of course, but I am convinced they get all manner of inside information from NFL players and coaches around the league.

I'll be nice and take the bad parts to private tells.

But young millionaires in Vegas is a recipe for disaster. The evil elements in Vegas will be picking their chops when these rich twenty two year olds hit the casinos throwing around their money. Once one ends up with a debt he will be doing their bidding.

There are over 1,000 casinos in the US spread out among about 3 dozen states and this hasn't been a problem to date so I don't think it will be going forward..

Got your pm. Back at ya. Kiss your avatar.

The “evil elements” that only exist in Las Vegas?

Do some research. Like @LesBaker said, casinos are hardly exclusive to Nevada. Bad mouth where I live, expect some pushback.

Kick him out of the league.
In terms of league interest this is much more serious than some idiot taking drugs or beating up his wife.

Okay cry baby. I won’t dis your historically mafia run town anymore. Time will tell. With past sports betting scandals and frequent speculation of a Vegas/NFL connection, if the league wanted to refute any connection they’d avoid it. My opinion, don’t hate.

And for Les’ comment. I know many people that do not gamble, except for their yearly trip to Vegas. And we have a beautiful casino an hour up the road, right here in rural PA. When it’s all around you all of the time it’s a different affect. Your response was unwarranted and against forum rules.

This isn’t Ramstalk.

isn't it?

it's getting harder every day to differentiate between the two.

.

Sometimes. When it’s about the Rams.
Sometimes it’s not.

But, my bad. Just seriously tired of the misconception, and uninformed perception of Vegas.

Apologies to ROD. Would never do anything to negatively affect this place.

Cheers.

The NFL promotes gambling and the teams and therefore the players benefit from it. Players and managers in any sport aren't allowed to gamble on the games. I don't see anything wrong with the guy being suspended for gambling.

I wasn't commenting on you. I just saw that line and couldn't resist showing my frustration again with how this board is heading.

As for gambling, it's been happening since the day dot. It has influenced every sport from that time as well. Nfl and Vegas are a match made in heaven. The raiders hit the jackpot.

What a load of crap. The only reason the NFL has injury reports is for betting. No other reason. So, they, the NFL can cater to Las Vagas but bet on a game, and you can't play.

Rooney and Maras both made their fortunes as bookies for Midwestern mafia. Gambling and the NFL go hand in hand. But there is no reason to think there could be any shenanigans with an NFL team in the heart of the gambling universe.
