Another torn tendon?

Is it possible that our sports science has reached a point of developing the athletic ability to the point that we are pushing the laws of physics.

This reminds me of the Raven Crossbow. They were lauded for their ability to shoot further and at faster fps than any other crossbow. They cost 4 times as much too. The originals worked great. But the only place to go in development was further and faster. The problem with the new version is that the crossbow strings and limbs keep breaking. It seems that they have taken the science of hand held crossbow to their limit.

Are athletes muscles and explosive ability getting close to being too much for the strength of of their tendons?

Read a lot of medical "experts" talking about them with regards to the NFL a year or two ago. They talk about how the players are all bigger stronger faster and they're body fat is very low for the most part. They in a long drawn out hypothesis think these tendon injuries are a result of less body fat putting more stress on the tendons as they push their bodies.

Fat is funny. But it also provides a layer of protection as well. Muscles hitting muscle/etc. creates way more combustion than muscles hitting some fat. Back in the day guys would have some fat and it created some cushion. Of corse it also comes with less speed, power, etc.
