Now Tag and trade Fowler for a 2 & 4th. This would give us enough assets to let Snead move up & down on draft day

Would be nice if this happened but would really hamstring us in free agency because of the tag eating most of our cap space as a possible trade would probably linger beyond most of it. Based on Sneads assurance that they aren’t planning on using a tag and off his history I’ll assume they are just hoping for the comp pick he’ll bring next year which will probably be a third.

If this is correct this Snead has done a good job. Having THREE 2nd day draft selections will greatly assist this Ram team.

Round 2 – 52 (20th pick of the round)
Round 3 – 84 (20th pick of the round)
Round 3 – 104 (awarded compensatory pick, 40th pick of the round)

Saturday day Three
Round 4 – 126 (20th pick of the round, after ten third-round compensatory picks)
Round 6 – 199 (20th pick of the round, after 3rd-5th round compensatory picks)
Round 7 – 234 (20th pick of the round, after 3rd-6th round compensatory picks)

The NFL announced the list of compensatory picks that will be awarded during the 2020 NFL draft.

The selections will be added between the third and seventh rounds based on teams losing more compensatory free agents than they signed over the last year. In total, 15 different teams were awarded 32 overall picks.

Tag announcements have been delayed until Mar. 16 as they wait for whether the new CBA is voted up or down.

This new additional 3rd round draft selection award will certainly make April 24th, 2020 Friday night much more enjoyable & entertaining for us draft nuts.

Watching Thursday night provide me good foundational prep for the upcoming Friday evening. Watching Snead with draft selections during the draft is like watching an action packed movie.

Snead still has 6 weeks to possibly beef up his draft ammo for Friday night & Saturday afternoon events. Possible players under considerations might be OT Rob Havenstein, WR Brandin Cooks, CB Nickell Robey-Coleman, TE Gerald Everett. RB Malcolm Brown & WR Josh Reynolds.
