No need to get emotional about this. Let me ask you if you buy a firearm in California from a private party is that illegal? Say via craigslist or wherever? When you purchase firearms in said there is no way in knowing it was stolen.

I'm pretty sure all private party firearm sales have to go through a licensed dealer and are subject to the usual provisions of the law. In other words, craigslist and classified ad type private sales are illegal.

My father recently got a DWI. He blew a .30 and can barely hold his alcohol. Blowing a .40 is just insane.

There is a lot of variance in different body types - not only that - some people can hold a .20 a lot better than others can hold a .07.

No one can hold a .40 - it’s out of the ballpark.

If I were trying to be diplomatic ... I might say:

I hope he is OK or He is fortunate no one was hurt

But, really, we don’t know anything about it. In most states, you can get a DWI in a parked car if it’s running. You can get one on a bicycle in my state. On a lawnmower, on a golf cart, in a parking lot, etc.

Jumping right to irresponsible and menace is hardly diplomacy in my mind.

Anyway - it is dangerous stuff - I have seen too many horror stories to gloss over it. I just feel like our tendency to want to judge and condemn is a bit quick too often.

Well, we do know that Aldon Smith just happens to be a 3 time DUI offender, with one of those including hit and run and vandalism charges. So, we don't have to be that diplomatic with Aldon Smith.

I think it's safe to say that unless he gets help AND actually follows it, Aldon is highly likely to die young - either in a car wreck or liver failure. Hopefully he doesn't take anybody with him.

What Is BAC?

• One 12 oz. margarita = 2–4 drinks, depending on ingredients

I remember the Whiners getting a lot of praise for their draft last year and for trading up with the Seahawks for him. Good news the Whiners traded up to get this dumbass but bad news is the Seahawks got more picks. Either way, John Lynch showing he's easily fooled after last years draft....
