One thing that cannot be denied...in the first meeting, they embarrassed the Rams in their house! It was painful!!!

I was embarrassed as a Rams fan, on a cruise, in the ships sports bar watching. I have 12/22 circled on my calendar.

We prefer his beautiful, yet brave, celebration of self. Yes, fisticuffs are warranted

What's with the lame Photo Ops BS at every chance they get...I'm glad the Rams players don't feel the need to pull that bush league bullsh1t...

The Niners need to play Seattle twice and the Rams once more plus the Saints, Packers and Ravens which I think they lose because Jimmy G isn't as good as people think. I see that as 6 losses which means they probably end up #3 in the NFCW. They caught the Rams with problems in their new o-line that severely limited their offense, and two CBs that weren't playing well.

Well they play the Rams in week 16 and it will be a different team than the one they played in the first game. The o-line is coming together on the leftside, and there are ways to mitigate the rightside if the two incumbents are still in place. They will face an improved secondary with Ramsey and hopefully David Long opposite. Johnson will be out but Christian is playing the best I've ever seen him play. Along with Rapp and Weddle they will be fine in the secondary.

Oko is beginning to emerge as an outside force allowing them to keep Ebukam at SAM where he is best. On Sunday they played Brockers at NT on early downs which was a big improvement over SJD and IMO it was a key to stopping the run. SJD is simply too soft to play NT and too slow to play anywhere else. He still can't get off a block which is a huge problem for a NT.

The only team of consequence they have played is the Rams and they caught the Rams struggling with o-line and CB issues. Remember despite all that, if Henderson doesn't fumble it's a 6 point game. This second half will expose them IMO. I really don't think they can beat the Hawks or the Rams this time around and I don't see them beating the Saints, Packers and Ravens. With luck the Niners might end up 10-6 assuming they can beat the Cards twice. If not 9-7 is very likely.

The Rams need to get by the Hawks, Ravens and Cowboys as their toughest games remaining. This team is capable of running the table and if they do they still can win the NFCW.

Want to believe that but they are passing the eye-test with flying colors...

Niners D is legit for sure, but I'm still not convinced by their O. When they get the running game going, sure, they can look good. But I have seen no evidence that, when the run game is stuff, that Jimmy G can beat teams from the pocket. I think he's a weakness on that team, but it's a weakness that has been masked by a stellar D and a good running game.

I started this thread as a “Take a moment to process how good this division is”, but if we are talking ways to beat the Whiners, it is fairly easy to lay out, difficult to execute.

First, stuff the run. All else is less important.

Second, have decent plan to limit big plays via the air. You can’t stop everything, but if you choose run game and big air plays, you force JG to beat you on long drives short passes, and he’s bound to f up a few times, especially with our improved pass rush and Ramsey back there.

On offense, they present challenges for sure, but that first drive we carved them up and did a poor job of adjusting on O when they adjusted on D.

I am convinced we win with this plan and good execution.

I hate the 9ers, but I would pay for the Bosa father to be a sperm doner.
His kids are born ripping out the womb, swim moving the Dr, then laying out the nurse for a loss of 5 on the play.

Anyone that is conceding the division to the Niners isn't being realistic. Just look at their schedule. Anyone thinking they can sweep both the Rams and Hawks is fooling themselves. Now look at the Niner's remaining schedule. I see 6 losses in that part of their schedule.

People thought the Browns were for real too and look at what a dumpster fire they turned out to be. They can lose 6 or 7 games as fast as they won them. They have a mediocre QB and you still have to score points to win.

They caught the Rams with an o-line that barely could get out of it's way and two CBs that were struggling. The Rams o-line is improving and with the departure of an aging Talib and prima dona Peters who won't tackle the secondary is much improved. Remember without the Henderson fumble it's a 6 point game last time around. They will be facing a much improved team next time around. Winning early is one thing. Winning throughout is something completely different. The Niners haven't proved anything except they have a good defense.....good not elite.
