17-6-1 against non-NFC West teams, and only Carolina loss by Cards is against non-Division Leader.

Saints and Ravens only teams having any success at all really.

Stats to be confirmed since I am in line...

I can see them losing 3 games before we meet again, the key is for us to not lose any games. Their D is what worries me, I think our D will be able to stop their O as long as they get some breathers when our O is on the field.

And make Grabyerpole turn it over, like we know he can.

3.6% interceptions, like one of the rookies....his attempts are way down... going into today, 116 fewer attempts than Goff

The Niners need to play Seattle twice and the Rams once more plus the Saints, Packers and Ravens which I think they lose because Jimmy G isn't as good as people think. I see that as 6 losses which means they probably end up #3 in the NFCW. They caught the Rams with problems in their new o-line that severely limited their offense, and two CBs that weren't playing well.

Well they play the Rams in week 16 and it will be a different team than the one they played in the first game. The o-line is coming together on the leftside, and there are ways to mitigate the rightside if the two incumbents are still in place. They will face an improved secondary with Ramsey and hopefully David Long opposite. Johnson will be out but Christian is playing the best I've ever seen him play. Along with Rapp and Weddle they will be fine in the secondary.

Oko is beginning to emerge as an outside force allowing them to keep Ebukam at SAM where he is best. On Sunday they played Brockers at NT on early downs which was a big improvement over SJD and IMO it was a key to stopping the run. SJD is simply too soft to play NT and too slow to play anywhere else. He still can't get off a block which is a huge problem for a NT.

The only team of consequence they have played is the Rams and they caught the Rams struggling with o-line and CB issues. Remember despite all that, if Henderson doesn't fumble it's a 6 point game. This second half will expose them IMO. I really don't think they can beat the Hawks or the Rams this time around and I don't see them beating the Saints, Packers and Ravens. With luck the Niners might end up 10-6 assuming they can beat the Cards twice. If not 9-7 is very likely.

The Rams need to get by the Hawks, Ravens and Cowboys as their toughest games remaining. This team is capable of running the table and if they do they still can win the NFCW.

The 49’ers look good. They deserve credit for being ahead of where we thought they were.

Their schedule is about to get tougher...

Are they going to look like this same juggernaut come playoffs? I don’t know... but that’s the time to be peaking.

Rams are mostly healthy on offense... Can we get more consistent come playoffs? That’s what carries teams deep.

Lots to go! Storylines to be written! We are in the middle of it, and... that’s what we’ve been hoping to become year over year.

Niners BLOW....This is my unbiased opinion:).

The Hawks kind of worry me,because ‘ole Petey normally has them playing tougher at the end of the season than in the beginning, if previous years are any indication.

The Rams can sweep every team that they play, but will they? It’s gonna be a dog fight till the end. That last game of the regular season won’t be a “rest your starters” day, for which I’m glad. Yes,it risks your players to injury, but it also keeps them sharp. IMO. If the Rams sweep the rest of the NFC West games, we could win the division with 11 games, IMO.

What really bugs me about the niners being undefeated ?
The media is all over them as being this supersonic unstoppable juggernaut and a lock for SB champions

rams undefeated at the same point last year ? Paper thin schedule ..haven’t played anyone good... mcvay in goffs ear system QB ...

Niners probably clinched the NFC West yesterday, unofficially. The Panthers aren't a good team, but they aren't a bad one either, and the Niners dropped 51 on them - mind you, they had won 4 straight and had a bye week to prep for that game too (the Panthers).

I really doubt they are losing to Seattle at home, which means they are essentially 10-0. IF the Rams can win their next 2, we'll be 7-3.

Then for the last 6, we both have tough games:

Rams - Ravens, Seahawks, @Cowboys and @Niners to go with Cardinals twice
Niners - Packers, Rams, @Ravens, @Saints, @Seahawks to go with Falcons at home

Here's what would need to happen for us to take the NFC West:

Before the game against the Niners - Rams go 5-1 with the loss to either Pittsburgh or Baltimore (an NFC loss sinks the season since we already have 3)

Niners go 4-3 with at least 2 NFC losses

We beat the Niners - both teams are 11-4

In week 17 we need Seahawks to beat the Niners in Seattle while we beat AZ

The irony in this plan is that the most unlikely part right now isn't the Niners going 4-3 - they will play Seattle, Green Bay, Baltimore and New Orleans in this stretch - and it's not losing at Seattle as obviously that's a tough place to win.

The most unlikely part is us winning in SF right now.

Actually looking at my plan above, doesn't matter who the Rams lose to because I think at this point it would be nearly impossible to win a tiebreaker with the Niners, unless they lose three division games total.

It is what it is, certain teams because of their Title History get more fanfare and I get it. As soon as the Rams win a few more Super Bowls that will follow. IMO, the 49ers are for real and their game translates anywhere because of their ability to run the football.

It's okay I will continue to root against them each week and if they end up in the Super Bowl, I will take the Mrs. to the Cayman Islands for some well deserved R&R.

Tell me about it. So sick of watching him dancing around like some “dancing queen “ every time he makes a catch. He’s definitely playing on the right team with that shit. I really hope one of our LBs or Safeties knocks him the fuck out the next time we play.

They can actually run the ball and have an interest in doing so.

They are the second best team in the NFL right now.
Their D front is nasty and young.
I hate it and I hate to say it but likely have to deal with them for years.
Until the Rams fix the OL this is a bad matchup for the Rams.

My take is we're most likely not winning the division but I can see a wild card. Id put our defense against anyone's once Mathews and even Talib is back.

The seahawks dont scare me we should've had them the last time and we'll be even better next time around.

We obviously wont be able to beat the niners running it so the OL needs to get better at pass protection and we will be ok. Our defense can stop/slow then since their offense isnt that dynamic. Stopping the run and creating turnovers are key. Our offense is more potent and I don't see them holding us off as much as we do them. It might be a low scoring game but I think we beat them next time around.

I just dont see us winning out. I think we drop atleast 1 more likely even 2 but I look for Seattle and San Fran to drop that many or more in the upcoming stretch.

I will say this now, playoffs or not it wont be the end of the world.
